  3. thanks for all the comments!!! seems like everyone wants some sort of brown to black fade at the moment.. anything but all black is good for me. the background is my usual pebblers. i have been trying to come up with a different pattern but i just like the texture of the pebblers. heres a closeup of the skull

  11. not sure what you are doing but. make your pics 640 x 480 if you can and jpegs look better than bmpuse the attachment module just below the reply box. browse to find the pic you want and then hit the upload button i have been looking but don't have any pics of them mounted on forks. mine is mounted at the bottom of the down tubes
  12. rdb.. i'm not tired of this thread at all! most all the bags a have made will work for any bike. some guys request a shorter bag but in general an 11" bag will work for just about anything. Hidemechanic... get that camera hooked up and lets see some pics!
  13. i like the clean look of slotting the bag and having the bulk of the strap inside and there is no change of the buckle beating up on anything. i also leave the strap a bit long to accommodate different applications. many of my bags end up mounted at the bottom of the down tubes. fork bags are generally mounted with the strap over the triple tree so there is no need for a vertical strap. BTW.. i use 10 oz leather for my bag bodies plus the 2-3oz lining. there are many ways of doing things and it is always nice to see something fresh and the reasons why we do it that way. i hadn't though about setting a strap by hammer it down but, that sounds like something i will try you need a camera Hidemechanic!!
  14. well here's the last piece!! i just need to make up the mounting strap and it's all finally done. this bag is 11"w x 8" h x 4" d
