I've downloaded the program, have created text and added a spiral but can't put the text to the spiral so I'll have to spend some time trying to learn the program. Thanks for the links and the examples. Kevin.

I went through that site and it appears to be a tutorial for a specific program, is there a download for that program somewhere?

I have photo express I can use for making words but how do you get them to follow the curve on the coaster? Are the letters put on individually or can you make the word and then use a program to curve it? Not sure if 1/2 inch letters would look decent carved then beveled. 1" or larger would be easier to work with but won't work on a coaster.

Do you have any examples?

Thanks Cheryl. Yes, it's saddle tan. Made for a friend of mine that bought a two seat aircraft kit. The stitching was done on my new cowboy, that was a real trial because I had to turn the coaster with every new stitch but it came out ok. I could have went a little larger with the emblem but he wasn't expecting it and really liked it. The coaster was lined with rust suede on the back side. Layout for the lettering took awhile to get the proper spacing but you just can't cut corners if you want it to look good. Kevin.

That's a bunch of fine looking peepers. You could sell those to stores for surveillance reminders to shoplifters. They look so real I'd have to turn the board around to change my clothes.

I grind many of the posts off so they only stick up about 1/16 " . If the post is too long they will bend. This helps hold them for grinding.

The tape can be punched out with your leather punches as small as you need.

Double face carpet tape might work.

If I was making that I would stamp the letters, carve and bevel the numbers then paint. Some here might carve the letters and the numbers.

Andrew, I think Wiz means have a new foot fabricated by a machinist from scratch opposed to reworking an existing foot. Kevin

I have a left and right harness foot so I'm hoping one of those will work. If I have clearance on the top of the case I think it might work.

I want to stitch a pouch but the foot that is on the machine will be too wide and the stitches will be too far from the edge of the project so is this where I switch to the single foot in order to get closer?

I punch a hole top and bottom then cut two lines to join the holes with an exacto knife. Cut from each hole towards the center or you risk cutting past the hole.

Can you tip it onto a trailer and roll it on steel pipes?

I don't think there will be any smell to it. I have used that specifically but anything else I've used to date for tanning hasn't been strong smelling.

Thanks Rick, I just read a little something on back stitching I wasn't aware of. I think it puts all the thread on the bottom of the project so you don't see any ends on the finished side.
