Can't they get to a shoe repair shop?

What about a duffle bag design that can be strapped to the seat? http://www.google.co...ed=0CIwBEPICMAU

The only thing I really see is the V stamp isn't the same all the way around. When I'm using the tool in that manner where the space is exact and limiting I'll draw the same size circle on a piece of paper with a compass, place the tool down and mark the edges with a pencil, go all the way around with these marks and see if you come up short. That will tell you to space the tool out a little more or overlap it a little on each stamp. If you want to dress it up a little more you can add suede and stitching.

Is this it?

Bag
Tree Reaper replied to arbalet12's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Beautiful work. -
You can use that for a zipper pull on your jacket.

I'm with daddy on not wearing it. An alice pack frame could be strapped to a sissy bar and then easily carried to the site. The leather pack could be attached to the frame which would make it easier to carry heavy loads.

Now you can add some suede to the back of it and really dress it up.

I glue and stitch suede to the back of veg leather.

Thank you, now if I can only get her to wait until they dry before she scans them.

Have a blast.

You're welcome, get back to casting and coloring.

Nice first one, you've got yourself a mini casting factory going there.

Kangaroo Leather Bi Fold
Tree Reaper replied to bukitleather's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Most likely called a fold or crease in the outer leather, just a groove gouged out of the flesh side to form a crease in which the leather folds. The thickness of the inside leather interior will also make a difference in how easily the wallet folds. -

That looks very nice, good job. -
Try searching for cast or metal concho.

Sylvia, it's not the blade. The angle has been changed and I can see why it won't cut looking at the picture you posted. How did it cut when you first tried it? Kevin

Dummy Magazines

If you have the radius and the other dimensions I might take a crack at making them out of cedar. Kevin -
Bison Leather Developing A White Color?
Tree Reaper replied to rmr's topic in Leatherwork Conversation
Tell him to hit it with a hair dryer, if it disappears then I would say it's the wax. -

Are these all different sizes? If so, how many? Do you have the specific sizes you need? -
Medieval Leather Case For Book
Tree Reaper replied to Mrs Barry Hicks's topic in Historical Reenactment
Looks good Mrs B, I don't care for instant coffee but the leather work is nice. Where would one go to see this? -
Another option is to cut the blank in half, router out both halves then glue the two halves back together and then turn it.

The lining is bound to get dirty, I would want to take it out for washing and make it removable. Possibly use velcro on the leather and the lining in which case you could go with a wrist sweat band.
