New Tippman Boss Bottom Stitches..help Please!
GamberLeathercrafter replied to Toolster's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
I was going to buy a tippman boss until I read all the bad stories, quite like the one your telling. If you can get your money back, I would before it's too late. -
I usually let people salivate over something I make by carrying it to the local flea markets and watch people react to it. You'll be surprised at how many people ask where you got it and then wham, the door for a sale is opened. Just make sure you have some business cards with you, it sure works for me.

Making Boston Bag
GamberLeathercrafter replied to hunio's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Send the parts over and I'll finish it for you, so everyone who's waiting to see the finished bag can finally breath. lol -
Sweet looking bag. I think I can answer that question, wether you hand sewed or not. I hand sew everything and I say you used a machine. Stitches are deeper when hand sewn. Great job, hope you have seen some of my bags. Keep it up.

Well I have news for you, don't buy a Techsew or a Juki, I had both and now I prefer to sew by hand.

Bible Cover
GamberLeathercrafter replied to CountryStyle's topic in Books, Journals and Photo Albums
I hope your fly fisherman is not the front of the Bible or he will be upside down. Looks nice otherwise. -
Sure my friend, any time. The edges I bind with a strip of soft leather cut about 5/8" wide and punch holes along both edges about 1/8" from edge, curl over the raw edge and sew through the three layers and there you have it. Keep in mind that I sew all of my work by hand, no machines are used ever. I enjoy the sewing part.
