  1. http://www.chicksaddlery.com/page/CDS/PROD/2200/NNS245 I was thinking maybe something like this..not quite sure how the halter would slide through the loops though. The buckles would do up at the top of the neck, with the fitted part under the jaw. I've never seen one like that, but the dimensions fit anyways.
  2. What are the dimensions on this? It almost looks like an old style "jowl/neck sweat" for show horses..They are made out of neoprene now, but they may have made them out of leather back in the day. Just a thought..
  3. Incredible! I don't know how long it took you to create this, but it took me 20 minutes just to take in all the details
  4. Very nice! What a shame that you only ship to the US
  5. Flea dip? Sorry, couldn't resist
  6. Wow! Lucky you! What a great gift
  7. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but the leather looks like it's saddle skirting form Tandy? If so, the last saddle skirting hide I received had a lot of excess oil on the surface. Almost feels "greasy".. I had to clean it with oxalic acid a couple of times before I could do anything with it, then I let it sit for a couple of days. Seemed to do the trick. I got my oxalic acid from a Rexall pharmacy, if that is any help to you.
  8. Very nice! Love the colours, although I am a little bias about black and red..they have been my racing colours for many years
  9. Hey! I might just carry an emergency jar of Cheese Whiz..ya never know I really like the rolled button on this..nice job!
  10. I have this same machine. I originally bought it to sew horse blankets and light tack, and it's perfect for that. When I got into leatherwork, of course I tested it out on leather, and it will sew 2-3 layers of light leather, with no problem at all. I use size 69 bonded nylon thread the majority of the time, but if you want to use the machine for heavier applications, I believe it can be set up for thicker, heavier leather. Hopefully some of the "sewing machine guys" will chime in on that one.. I'm not sure what you are looking to sew, but it's a reliable machine and a reasonable price. The price on this particular machine may be a little bit high, as I paid $600 (Canadian) for mine, and mine is in almost new condition. But, pricing may be different in your area. Hope that helps, and good luck!
  11. Looks like you worked on them for months! Absolutely beautiful

  13. Looks great Natalie! Love the colour you chose.
  14. I do a lot of horse tack, so I see these as owner id tags for rider's belongings. People at boarding barns use this kind of thing all the time.
  15. Thoughtful gift, and very well done.
