  1. Love the design, have to try one of those. And your tooling is really nice. Cheryl
  2. Allen, beautiful job. My last one I didn't line but I skived the furry edges on the back, was the furriest leather I ever saw. I like how this design came out. Cheryl
  3. You did a good job. Cheryl
  4. Thanks Tina. My next reversible item is going to be an inlaid guitar strap :-) Cheryl
  5. Thanks WScott. It was a pretty easy one to make Sorry I didn't get notified you'd responded, Cheryl
  6. I made this yesterday playing with my 27 treadle. It's lizard sewn to the back of dyed veg tanned 3oz. The close is a round braid. Comments welcome. Cheryl

    My Bracelet

Brian that is beautiful, a real work of art. Cheryl
  8. I looked at the handle on the case and watched him doing the other one, and it just looked like two pieces of veg tasnned back to back. However I know on rolled handles (and I guess these two) you could mold them around a nylon rope, small diameter if you wanted to add a rounded look to your handles. Cheryl
  9. Gregg it's not hard once you've done one, but of course I guess that's true of anything. Cut your design out of your veg tanned leather. Geometric shapes are the easiest but you could actually cut out a small snake. Burnish and skive the hole all around the design. That way the leather snake won't look so sunken in. glue the front of the snake over the back of the hole. I make my inlay long or wide enough that I pick it up with my regular stitching or lacing. Then I cut a lining leather out to go over the inlay, glue the back to the back of the snake. Again I make it long enough or wide enough to be sewn or laced with the rest of the project. Fo a really nice finished project glue some lining leather to match on the other side. Sew or lace. A checkbook cover I just finished.....
  10. Do you know some where they can be bought Faire?
  11. From the threads of my PM. Anyone else having this problem? Thanks, Cheryl
  12. I made this from one of the police gear struck through black bellies from Springfield. I was afraid the rhinestone buckle set I took off an old belt I found might look cheesy but it doesn't look too bad since I didn't tool a million things on the strap. The police gear bellies are so furry on the back all the edges have to be skived but still was the easiest strap I've ever made. Comments appreciated. Cheryl
  13. Tom it's not me not wanting to treadle it, LOL, I want to be able to slow it down. So I looked at the three machines I have, two I'm using and this one not so much. I think I would use it a lot if I had a way to walk it around projects. I think I will try a servo with it and see what happens Cheryl
  14. I have a Singer 27 on a treadle I never use. I wondered if I added a servo motor to it instead could I sew my wallet interiors, and other light things with it. I've tried to find an industrial machine I can afford but I just can't right now. Thanks, Cheryl
  15. I love this, I really do. Would love to have some of those stone looking buttons
  16. OK Chris if you send me a PM with your Paypal info I'll send it. And just bring it to Fla with you and send it, don't wanna pay more for shipping than the pouch, LOL. So tell me shipping from there. Well if you'll have room or are you already home? Cheryl
