  1. and then get promptly eaten by the Lion. Or at least it does if it's a big horn sheep of some type. This is the stamping from a 3" embossing plate with the Lion and it's prey in a low relief. Made from delrin plastic and cut on my CNC machine. These low reliefs are working very well and are pressing well with only a 1 ton arbor press. Cheers!
  2. Hello SL. I used an Auto-Mach reciprocating carver. they run about $300 but I think Ryobi makes a less expensive model.
  3. I made one a long time ago from a reciprocating carver. It only stamps when you press down. You have to turn down the bevelers to fit the collet. I would say it worked ok on long bevelings like a border. Not so much on short bevels. I made this for a class demonstration. I think I've still got it around in my toolbox. Cheers!
  4. Hello again. this is another embossing plate done in a low relief. The subject is a wolf and eagle. It is 3" tall for a wallet back, flask front, or other small projects. done in delrin plastic and pressed with a 1 ton arbor press. Cheers!
  5. This is something different. It is a shallow embossing with the subject of a hunting dog in the field. Despite the fact that it is shallow, I think it conveyed the puppy quite well. The eyes alone convey volumes. Roughly 3" high in delrin. Hope you like it. Cheers!
  6. this is a 3" round plate, that would be good for coasters.
  7. thank you. I'm gonna get some good use out of this. I hadn't done this one before because it has to remain a non-commercial venture. But I'm going to make a laced up buckle for a friend. But now that I have the model, I may try my hand at a wooden belt buckle. I'll post sometime when I have results. -nick
  8. Had a nice weekend here so I was able to knock out a couple of personal projects. This one is a tree of life embossing plate for a wallet back or flask. 3x3" in delrin Here's the results:
  9. Making an oval belt buckle for a friend but had to make up the plate to emboss it with. can't make this one available since it has a copywrite. 3 x 2.5" in delrin. worked well on the 1 ton arbor press. Cheers!
  10. It's not tiger thread, but take a look at The Thread Exchange for an alternative to the evil empire.
  11. No dilution. applied directly using sheepswool. Now I will also add that I have tried using the Pro finish as a resist, but it did not work. Clear-Lac is still the clear winner there.
  12. no it is the result of an embossing plate I made. I don't usually show the plate since it is white on white delrin and doesn't show up well. I don't know what the customer will do with it - probably paint it. You can see my other posts for more stamps/plates.
  13. Finished this one for a customer today. Had to hand trace all of it before I could do it. But it was worth it. Plate is 4" tall. Thank you to the 101st (past and present) and all the others who protect our way of life.
  14. thank you. this is what my customer Todd H. did with them. Great work on his part.
  15. thank you. I get so few replies it's hard to tell if anyone likes 'em.
  16. this is a new delrin embossing plate for making a buckle insert for a rope edge buckle, or can be used to make a laced up oval buckle. Alien playing pool. Notice the symbol on the right? It's the targeting scanner from Predator. So maybe this is an Alien Vs Predator game. Cheers!
