ebay seller in post 1 accepts offers so I´d try 80€ and see what happens. He can make a counter offer then. -

maybe they figured their "original" price was too low compared to the international market and have risen it. -
So "maybe" the 20U plates and feed dogs "could" fit your machines too - or you can make em fit. Or maybe you find a Consew 199RB set with teeth in front of the needle. EDIT: sorry - I made a mistake - the needle plate + feed dog I have installed on the 307G2 are from a Singer 457 (not 20U - though the work too). I bought them at College Sewing https://www.college-sewing.co.uk/store/Singer457G,457USewingMachineParts https://www.college-sewing.co.uk/store/503682-NEEDLE-PLATE-SINGER-457 https://www.college-sewing.co.uk/store/503743-4-ROW-FEED-DOG-SINGER-457

I don´t know the details of the Consew but sometimes parts form other machine could fit. I have a Singer 307G2 and figured that I can use feed dogs and needle plates form other Singer machines like Singer 20U, Singer 457, Singer 107... and Dürkopp 252 thought the needle plate are narrower and you have a gap right of the needle plate but it does not bother.. But the funny thing is the 307G2 has 2 different pairs of threaded holes to accommodate different needle plates - don´t know why Singer did this and it is nowhere mentioned but it works. I figured it "by accident" because I owned a Dürkopp 252 once and then bought the 307G2 and noticed the feed dogs look quite similar so I tried it and it worked. Then did some more research and figured the Singer 107 is like the Dürkopp 252 - bought some cheap feed dogs and needle plates and they fit. Same with Singer 20U - they looked very similar so I gave it a try - works! And BTW the mentioned machines are using the same hook too some pictures (sorry poor light conditions):

Indeed a gerat price! I think one possible term is "Vorgelege" but I´m sure they understand Speed Reducer very well since they sell international and I´m sure they speak your preferred language too -
Picked up a 'Patcher' this weekend
Constabulary replied to Chayse's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Thats mentioned in a 29K71 - 73 manual but I think it is a misprint. My 29K71 right now has 4.5mm - 4.6mm - thats approx 5.5 SPI. So 7 SPI in the manual can´t be right. -
Nice find!!!! Congratulation! 30-7 have larger hooks, higher foot lift and need longer needles (Sys. 332 LONG) other than that it depends on the overall condition. Adler patcher do not sew better or smoother than Singers. I have restored both and there are bad a Adler and bad Singers as well as nice Singers and nice Adlers but the higher foot lift an larger hook on the 30-7 are really a big plus!

Recommend vintage textile machine with reverse
Constabulary replied to Dave4's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
I recently "inherited" 2 vintage Made in Germany Adler straight stitch machines - one Adler 37-7 with installed roller foot (CB hook) and one Adler 96 (rotary hook). I guess they are from the 1940´s - probably WWII or a bit later. Just the heads with a bunch of feet and some other accessories, bot have reverse and bot sew with #30 (metric) thread w/o problems. Both accommodate standard Singer presser feet. I have no use for them and would like to sell them. I was just about taking pictures and post them in the sale section. Adler 37-7 is about the class of a Singer 31-32 and the Adler 96 is the class of a Singer 96. Maybe you are interested... Shipping to the US is no problem but shipping costs could be an issue but I don´t want an arm and a leg for them. 2 quick pictures... Can post more pictures and details tomorrow. -
Picked up a 'Patcher' this weekend
Constabulary replied to Chayse's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
I have restored a few other patchers already with parts from College Sewing. They all worked well I only had to modify the Bell Crank Lever when I installed it in different 29K models. Oh - the set screw for the revolving head di not fit as it came with a metric thread but that was no big issue - re-threaded it with an M5 thread - done. I would probably "touch up" the decal area and put a new decal on - just for optical reasons. Paint looks like hammertone silver. -
WOW - you need a lot of force to bend a shaft tip like that. Are you sure no other parts went bust?

29K71 are more or lest the most modern machines of this type - beside CLAES patchers - you almost find any part of it as after market part since the Chinese copied this machine almost 1:1 (with some small exception). I have restored a 29K71 in even worse condition a few years back. Manual and detailed parts list are available. Its worth the restoration and it is no big deal, these machines are easy to work with. I got my parts from College Sewing in the UK but most parts are avail. on Ebay or most known sewing machine dealers. -

nothing wrong with DIY reducers - mine are DIY too (more or less). Just wanted to give a hint since the out of the box reducers are not widely spread on the continent. -

Mechanically no advantage but some prefer "out of the box" things and don´t want to bubba something or don´t have the capabilities for making (f.i.) something hight adjustable. I wish I had this source a few years back but I`m pleased with what I have. -
Not mine but I just found this on Ebay Germany. Seller takes Paypal and accepts offers even free shipping inside Germany - not too bad. http://www.ebay.de/itm/Kugellager-Drehzahlregler-fur-schwere-Industrienahmaschinen-/112456993576?hash=item1a2ef58b28:g:SVAAAOSw9GhYkdIk You barely find them for sale on the continent...

Guessing you have a long shaft Pfaff foot then loosen the clamp on the presser foot bar and lower / reposition it.

Adler 205-370 kicking out of gear
Constabulary replied to ScarlettStarlett's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
I guess your needle hit a hard spot and pushed the needle bar up. Check the needle / hook timing of your machine. You most likely have to lower the needle bar a tiny bit. You can download a 205 service manual here: https://www.duerkopp-adler.com/en/main/downloads/manuals.html -

if you cut it here you can even use the pulley on the old stud - maybe the SIRUBA stud could work then if you cut it here the pulley could spin on the 29K stud - on my 29K stud measures 8.5mm (its from CS) lets hope the FROBANA stud is not hardened. -

Constabulary replied to alexitbe's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
It requires cutting, drilling and / or taping thread but maybe you can rework this 29K stud. https://www.college-sewing.co.uk/store/413D-ADJUSTING-NUT-SIDE-SINGER-29K or this one: https://www.college-sewing.co.uk/store/A113F-TENSION-STUD-SIRUBA-NEW-STYLE But you may need the matching tension nut as well since the threading could be different. -

Alex, check with ottobock-Josamerica for a new tension unit stud, they still run the Frobana type machines: https://www.ottobock-josamerica.com/de/produkten/75-20-2910-0.html?Itemid=266&___store=de what is the inner diameter of the tension pulley - I probably have another idea of how to fix it... -
