    Hi Yall

Nice work. Welcome to the forum!
  2. Sorry for the delay.... I've been lazy about checking the new members area.. Welcome from Wisconsin!
  3. Welcome from Wisconsin USA
  4. I bought from them before but never saw any exotic leathers. Did you see the elephant on their website?
  5. What's the measurement of the stool at its highest point?
  6. I've been using a wooden barstool with my Cowboy CB4500 and I hate it. Front to back it is too shallow to sit on comfortably . If you have a really comfortable chair or stool you use with your machine, I'm looking for suggestions. Wheels or no wheels? Photos are a plus. Thanks!
  7. Seems like you've got a lot on your plate already, Eric.
  8. Every time I watch the Dunhill video I wonder about the brushing. So, last week I sent an email to Dunhill and asked what kind of brush it was. today I got a response. From the Alfred Dunhill leather team : "The brush in question is an oval stubben brush which should be able to purchase from an equestrian tack shop. We originally brought them from a company call Leymill Limited in Corby Northants. Please note that these brushes must not be used on any Dunhill products which we do not supply a care kit with."
  9. Nice work, Paul. Have you had any problem with the Angelus (cut with water) remaining sticky for a very long time? Like days or even weeks?
  10. I like vertical slots aesthetically, and they don't seem to torque your belt out of whack as much. Also, your overall holster can be shorter.
  11. I use a cotton cloth covered piece of horse blanket wool and keep the temp about 135° F for about 10 minutes, then air dry the rest of the way, most times.
  12. There is a thread on DefensiveCarry.com forum about an upcoming holster making class to be taught by Red Nichols, famed designer/innovator formerly of Bianchi Int. Thought some folks might be interested. http://www.defensivecarry.com/forum/defensive-carry-holsters-carry-options/169132-holster-making-school-holster-design-school.html
  13. Cowboy CB 4500 ..reduce 1 1/2 hours of hand work to about 6 minutes.
  14. Looks nice Eagle. I see folks using the double snaps on that style of holster, for looks or?
  15. I think it looks damn fine. It could be that the picture is a bit blurry, but I'd say treat your ammo loop edges as nicely as you did on the holster itself. That seems to be a common thing I see on western holsters. Easy enough to smooth up before sewing. Again , it could just be the picture.
  16. Pick up a copy of "Custom Knife Sheaths with Chuck Burrows" Along with lots of general leatherwork information, he covers inlays at the end of the video.
  17. The inner cut line on the loop forms an eye shape that, to me, is distracting. I'd eliminate that groove. Otherwise, nice work! With the groove gone, if you wanted to fill that empty space, a small concho with a stamped border would work nicely with the design. You remind me that I haven't made a WB rig yet....think I'll go sketch one up.
