  3. i'd like to get the two if you still have them.. if you do pm me with info on payment.. thanks again...
  4. now that you have them polished up .. why don't you get your self a sewing needle and ink and try your hand at scrimshaw.. antlers, horn, ivory..all work great..
  5. i have found if there is a odor when burning leather.. it because i'm burning at to high a temp.. leather burns best at low temps. that why i start burning my leather at low temps to start my shading work. then i work my temps up for darker areas.. i work light to dark when doing my burns.. i hope that helps..i also use some scrap leather to take some of the heat build up off my pens . before i start working on the finished piece.. i do that ever time i pick up my pen other wise it will leave a dark burn on your work.. from the heat build up of your pen.. i hope this helps a bet...
  6. Tom, i hope Storm don't mind this is a link to one of the burners i use http://www.carvertools.com/ i really like their pens.. i also have a razor that i like but i still use the optima pens with both the razor and my optima 1.. i like the fixed tip pens myself..
  7. Regis, they kind of look the same but it not you could maybe use one if you were doing dot type shading but that about all it would be good for.. what i use for pyro work on leather is this http://www.carvertools.com/ for me i would say get a woodburner no matter what one there are lots out there ..if your burning its way better than trying to burn with a stencil tool. just my 2 cents.. have fun PYROCARVING....
  8. that pyrocarving sure lets you bring in the details.. love the details and colors great job Storm...
  9. hes asking 350. for it. with manuals and its on a new sewing table.. he said it runs great.. so we 'll see but i wanted to know what everyone here thought about this machine.. the thing you said about the oil on the leather that right there may be the deal killer for me..the good part for me is theres no shipping its here. any more thought would really help...
