  1. Everything in post #4 is still available. The 10 Craftool USA stamps are a set. The Clay Miller is also still available by itself.
  2. Most use edge paint on thin leathers like this.
  3. Beautiful strap. This video shows a good demonstration of antiquing.
  4. Adding some more stamps for sale. A group of 10 Craftool USA. My dad bought them roughly 30 years ago. Selling as a group $75 includes shipping. I designed it and had Clay make it. We'll call it the cross stamp. $45 includes shipping. It's far right in the photo & far right bottom corner.
  5. Ah thanks, that's good to know. Is there a different formula from the Tandy Pro Edge paint?
  6. Your creases look pretty good.If you want a deeper crease try and little more weight before turning up the heat. Keep your temp low and test on scraps and bump it up slowly until you get it right. Curves are harder to crease. I tip mine forward and go backward around curves. What edge paint are you using? I've tried Fenice, Stahl, Fine Leatherworking and BuckleGuy. My favorite is Buckle Guy. I'm not sure who manufactures it but I suspect is Giardini because it's from Italy and not quite the same as Fenice. But just a guess.
  7. Cool that sounds better than I had thought. I'd buy some but I've got VBs for the time being. They look great.
  8. The Chinese brand that's getting a lot of attention is Amy Roke. But I've read that the ordering process is a hassle and the wait might be a bit.

  10. Nice work Monica. I like the brass catch... and you creased the edge, looks nice. Only thing I might have done is line the back of the catch piece.
  11. Welcome. I'm in Hutto now but have been in Austin & Round Rock in the past.

  14. I'm not a good sharpener and don' sharpen things enough but I think you should be able to shave with a blade. I end up using replaceable blades most of the time. I see that flintknapping is an interest of yours so I'm going to guess you've done some archery. To file my broadheads I would put a burr on and take the burr off until they could shave. Then hit them with some jewelers rouge or polishing compound on a strop. I've been working on sharpening my awl. There are plenty of videos out there on youtube.
  15. I follow that guy on Instagram. He's making luxury items with premium leathers. The goat is most likely from France from the Alran tannery. The other is croc possibly alligator.
  16. I got the lizard from Roje. It is very thin but very strong. I tried to tear some scraps and couldn't do it. It doesn't seem to crease very good and stitching has been hit or miss for a nice slant. I'm working on a watch strap and not happy with the stitching.
