    Apparently, I am incapable of doing the double loop stitch. Can't seem to get it right.

      What are you having trouble with? If you have instruction just make sure to look at the photos real close and do exactly like the photo shows.

      Been looking at the pictures in The Leather Craft Handbook as well as watching the Tandy video on YouTube. I'd swear I'm following directions, but I'm obviously missing SOMETHING as all I get is a big knot or something.

      Go to KINGSMERE CRAFTS and scroll down to page 36 for the Single-loop Stitch, page 96 for double or page 97 for Triple-loop lacing. Lot of other things to learn there as well…. Just relax and take your time, - I know you can do it. Then just practice, practice, practice. It is awkward at first, but once you get it you will feel much better about your accomplishments.

    I have successfully made.... a backwards/upside down wallet!! Works just fine if you open it backwards, but if you open it the way you're supposed to you might lose your money. :/
