I wanted to use up some of those scraps of leather that we all have, so i made this bio cuff. 7cm wide, stained with antique brown. I was missing one half of the middle snap set...note to self...make sure there are enough full sets of snaps before starting ...what do you bet i cant get that same color and size again!!!

tom, are u using a tower or laptop...if it is a tower it is worth taking the side off and checking the cpu fan...i found mine was clogged with dust, fluff, doghair!! blow it out with an air compressor or can of compressed air or just use a soft paint brush to clear the fan...while you have it open it is worth peeling off the little sticker in the middle of the fan and putting a few drops of machine oil in..this will keep the fan quiet. Another problem can be a clogged power supply fan, this is the fan at the back of the tower..u can get at this by undoing a few screws...you have to get the power supply out and take the cover off to get to the fan...clean, oil and replace.....very quiet now!!!! and pc will run much much cooler. OK, just read your post again...i see you are using a laptop...oh well, maybe this will help some one else.

Randahl, the leather is soaked for about 1 min in hot tap water, when it dries, it stays stiff. Crystal, the two extra sets of eyelashes are just extra pieces of leather glued on, hidden by the first set of eyelashes that are created by eye cut outs.

i have often admired chip carved woodwork and wondered if it could be applied to leather....so i bought a chip carving knife this morning, watched a few youtube videos and set knife to leather.... i think the results maybe worth exploring a bit more...and a lot more practice!! this is what i produced one hour later.... i really wanted to burnish the little triangles but couldnt work out how to do it....anyway just a quick practice piece.

a quick question...is it OK to copy someones design if i am only going to keep it for myself and not sell the finished product?
