i havent felt inspired to make a mask for a long time, but Casey needed a mask for a school play so i made this simple mask for her. The second photo where the mask is with friends shows the color better. Airbrushed with red, purple and gold acrylic paint.

I found this new program that can turn your website into 3D!!! Go to www.exitreality.com and download the program. It will put an icon in your toolbar that when you click will turn the website you are looking at into 3D.. It turned my little webpage into a 3D gallery with the pictures hanging up so you could walk around and look at them just like in a real gallery. You can create 3d worlds and webpages...havent worked out how to do this yet. Nice little program...lots of fun.

dave, i talked to a friend that is in a 'club' and showed him some photos of the work done by the members here, he didnt show much interest in the seats etc...he thought the work was great but thought the riders here were a bit more conservative!! He did buy a tool bag from me, but it was very plain with a small airbrushed silver eagle on it. Only one mans opinion...maybe because the work is not readily available, the interest has not grown. I did a bit of a search on the internet and couldnt really find much in australia in the way of custom seats and bags, other than the plain black seats, nothing in the way of carvings etc. There might be a market here waiting to be explored!!! ...only one way to find out!!!

hey davy, i like skype, we use it at work for medical conferences. If enough peeps are interested, we could organise a time for a conference video/talk . Webcams with mics are really cheap and a great way to get together. note to self....dont be PJ's with crazy bedhead hair!!!

Kimber, if you want your masks to have an even better fit, try to find a trainee hairdressers head. They are full size and you can get both male and female heads. They come with a full head of hair that the trainees practice on, after all the hair is cut off they are not much use to the hairdressers. These heads have a much more realistic shape to the face especially the nose. I found on the styrofoam heads the nose is not right and the mask tends to not sit quite right on a real person. Happy masking caroline

Welcome davy, i sure you will enjoy your time on this forum, lots of great artists with lots of good advice. I love the piece you uploaded....i have never seen anything like it before...love it!!! It is great to see other artists individual styles...yours is certainly unique! Sometimes being a bit isolated from other leatherworkers allows your individual style to emerge. Looking forward to seeing more of your work caroline...geelong victoria -

hi, i use 3mm roo lacing and the width of the bracelet was about 12mm. i used the same width lacing for the whole project. To start the lacing, come up through the hole from the back, go over three wrappings and back up under two, then down over three, crossing over the first down abit so when you go up two the next time you end up on the other side of the first down. now doesnt that sound like the worst instructions you've ever heard! here is a drawing... the black lines are the wrapping lace, the red lines are going down over the wrapping, the green lines are going up under the wrapping lace. hope this helps good luck
