  1. thanks guys, the lacing is very simple. after wrapping the leather, starting in the middle, three over the wrappings and back under two, repeat again crossing over a bit to make the V. This is then repeated on the left and right sides of the first line of V's in the opposite direction having started one wrapping down so the lacing one step down from the middle row.
  2. very nice effect. i often add a touch of gold to black leather dye...it just gives it a little bit of bling!!!

  11. After seeing Annes great bracelets, i thought i would try to work out how to do one. Being an impatient person, i couldnt wait for the tutorial, so after a few hours trial and error, and the clue...three over, two under, i came up with this effort. I wanted a thicker bracelet so after making a single braid, i made this double one. I would like to use a contrasting lacing but i only had one color, so i dyed the wrapped part black.
  12. very sharp looking belt fire, i always love the contrast dyeing. very clean work.
  13. sweet work tom, i love the color, lacing and the pattern on the back is sharp.

  15. I was feeling the need to take my masks to the next level, so today i created my first multilayer mask. I have to admit i was thrilled with the outcome. It is created by making two masks and sticking them together and i then added another 8 leaves stuck between the two layers to fill him out. The two masks and extra leaves were airbrushed seperately before assembly. The only thing i am not happy about is the back of the mask, just a little messy, but i may keep this one for myself and hang him on a wall.
  16. nice work dog, neat lacing and a very nice dye job
  17. nice belt, i like the dye job, makes the pattern pop
  18. these are for sale on aussie ebay and are listed as mink tails, some whole, some flat. Having never seen a mink, i dont know if they are mink or some other animal, does anyone know if these are the real deal? Is it legal to sell or buy these? I was thinking of using them on my quivers (maybe). They are at $19.00 with no bids. Any comments or advice would be appreciated, thanks.
  19. lefties and righties, what a pain they can be.......when i make quivers i have the same problem as i have a shaped shoulder strap. I have solved the problem by putting a piece of masking tape on the template and writing on it...."for righthand...this side up on stamping side of leather. Gee, that sounds confusing as i read it back, but it works for me.
