  1. Now, just right here (50's - low 70's) for.....maybe another month then tooooo hot and humid for 6 months.
  2. Welcome to the forum. I sure like your idea of matching wallet and holster.
  3. Clay is "already" an excellent teacher. But, maybe he is the only one that doesn't believe it.....yet. Maybe we should all get together and make him a leather suit of armor to protect him from those flying fruit & vegtables he is concerned about. :horse: :D Regis
  4. Ed, That's not the same as my Consew CP146 and I'm not positive it will work.......but, if it does, you are very right. Sounds like you got your Monster wheel and like it toooo. Regis

Glenn, Welcome to the forum. It sure would be great to make it to a class or show. Until then there are a great group of experienced folk here that are willing to help you through any problems/questions.
  6. Great BUT! Although I live in Florida, it is just about the same drive for me to get to Dallas, Texas as it is to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. About 700 miles (or 1100km). Soooo, Jim if you pass through Pensacola, you are welcome to rest at my place. regis
  7. Bob, I use the I-Roast 2 and here is a link to one of the dealers that sell it....I buy some coffee from them tooo Roaster-I-use
  8. My feelings exactly......although I do use a Bunn every morning ....10 seconds to grind and 3 minutes to drip a pot. Regis
  9. I don't know how many of you get/read the Tippmann Newsletter but, there is a fine article about Luke Hattley in the March 08 issue. Here is link to the article about Luke: Tippmann Newsletter Congratulations Luke!
  10. Gary, that is an impressive peice of work. Are both sides carved ? Lot of skill AND work into that one.
  11. COFFEE.............. I started roasting coffee beans about 4 years ago. Natural coffee tastes different from every mountain and every country arround the world. They(Max, Folg, etc) get consistant taste by adding flavoring, fillers (sawdust), preservatives, etc. Green coffee beans from the producer will stay fresh about 2 years. Once beans are roasted, they will loose about 1/2 their flavor within a week. Once ground, they loose 1/2 their flavor within 24 hours. I have a little roaster that does 5 days worth (in 11 minutes) for the wife & I. We grind enough for each pot full (about 10 seconds). My favorite is a Costarician Dota. There are hundreds to choose from and are not any more expensive than a can of "whatever" brand at the store. ......so, that's probably more than you ever wanted to know about coffee. Luke, I'll bring you a batch the end of April (grand daughter graduating from Memphis State). regis
  12. Ed, Glad to hear you've got it completely set up and running. Are you using monster wheel or the one that came with it for hand cranking? I only use the motor on longer straight streeches myself (and it does go slow enough for me).
  13. Very nice and great gift for son. I have several pictures of my son's deers in different years and that would make a great design for a gun case. Thanks for sharing your idea and work.
  14. Luke, You're probably better off buying a read/writte CD drive. They are cheap enough and move your photo's to CD's. If you are getting that message, you need to do "something" right away or you'll loose a lot. Deltes some files and be sure to empty trash can (and then restart computer). Regis
  15. Welcome to the forum. Nice look on that holster. Trigger is a little more exposed than I've seen lately. Like the color too.
  16. Welcome to the forum and nice holster. I agree with a little more cover over the trigger and nicely detailed.
  17. Don, Very neat. Is this only for knives or are there other period tools carried? Regis
  18. Welcome Kim. Glad to have you join us
  19. I appreciate their support so much that I buy all my supplies from them. That and reccomending to folks is all I can do until I need to add another machine. Thanks to K-Man, Bruce Gibson, and others here that steered me to Artisan in the first place. Regis
  20. Thanks for the "pounding" idea. And, I didn't really think about the natural outward pull of gluing flat. I have Barges but, have not used for sometime. I think it was simply that I was gluing up some things "in the house" and the Fieblings white has no odor. I'll go back to Barges! Thanks, Regis Here is layout (Sure don't understand IWB for a S&W model 410 .40). And the guy is not too large either but, customer is right as long as it's safe (did question "are you sure and for this gun?".
  21. Ok, now everyone sing along: Happy birthday to you Happy birthday to youuuu Happy b i r t h d a y ...$$hobby, Don101, Beaverslayer, & moriver Happy birthday tooooooooo yooooouuuuu An' many more______________
  22. My last holster (IWB), I had to toss because I got a kink in the stiffener when sewing back accross the bottom of the stiffener. Therefore, I have a question about the whole process of gluing and sewing a 5 - 8 oz leather stiffener onto the body of a holster (7/8 oz). Same applies to decorative trim/overlay that may wrap arround. For example: Holster 7/8 oz and 7" top to bottom. 5 oz leather stiffener (2 1/2" high) set even accross the top from from front edge all the way around to back edge. I have been gluing them with some bend on the front like the finised holster will be. Then sew them all arround all 4 edges. I've had problems on other ones too but, not bad like last one. Do you assemble as above or glue everything flat. And perhaps sew just stiffener top & bottom and let the ends be sewn when sewing the holster togather? I have been using the Fiebling white cement thinking it is a little more forgiving if I'm molding a holster but, maybe that is part of the problem??? Thanks, Regis
