  6. RUBY Your welcome here anytime, come as many times as you please. We all have to start somewhere.. I guess the lack of enthuseasm on those saddlers part, was because of their fear you will be outshine them ? You have proven your worth. Your saddle is awesome ! We'll be looking forward to more of your awesome work.
  7. Welcome, to the best Leather site on the net. Yeah we enjoy Leather, but as Echo says we enjoy art too !
  8. Unusual, but an awesome piece for sure ! Great detail, colors work well together too. Well done !.
  9. Again, I do thank you for the Idea GAMBLER I did as I said, and made myself a pouch for my lock picks, out of some gifted, but Oil stained RED 5-6oz Suede. Its OK I guess ?? for its intended use and the gifted stained leather used. however I'm not too happy with it, actually. Pictures when I can get camera batteries and take some ! But I can bring you my pick set Monica whenever you say !
  10. Nice looking bracelet !!! Boy thats alot of backgrounding, around a rather pleasing design.
  11. Im with 4wheeler4 you are an artist fer sure !
  12. Nice design and the (Buffalo), Dual Bison hide look is great together !
  13. I don't know the Equipment or tools used for this project, either his or yours , But I like this card wallet, Nice work !
  14. Very nice looking case, no matter the woes that are potentially there, I can't see many myself. As slick states the Black is a nice ending for this job. I have used blue painters tape on the back when tooling, and I have reservations there. No matter, I like this case as is !
  15. Im Oh So delighted to see this detailed background effect, In the last picture it looks kinda yellow colored and in my opinion - super looking.. As Glockinator was wondering about the stitching though, so was I ? And as Rohn stated The carving looks great too, especially as its colored !!!! Great second attempt there. make more.
  16. Very nice looking detailed workmanship, I looks incredible ! Yes she will love that one for some time to come.
  17. I admire your work while deployed , How do you tote the tools you need with you ?
  18. I think, just as those who came your way before me, The Bison makes for a beautiful bag indeed, and the antler just says (I belong here) Nice workmanship too ! Its very beautiful. As the others too, Thanx for the placemat tip !
  19. Your work is really neat and clean looking. Sometime ago, I started into locksmithing, glad I gave it up for the most part, Technology being what it is today, this is a fast paced craft, Just trying to keep up with combinations and card readers, electronic this electrical that, etc. I'm glad to be into Leatherworking instead ! all that being said, I like your idea enough, I'm gonna make myself a pouch for my picking tools, (I still have my tools, I need to pick a lock every now and then.) Thanks for the idea.
  20. Welcome to the very best leather place you will ever find LWN !!!!!!!! As a humble newby myself, I just got what I needed at the time, am still in this mode somewhat as a matter of fact. However once you finally see, well, I only used this once, and that only twice -your begging to get the picture. These tools are ok, if ever needed again. But, now you see the larger kit from Springfield has more of what you'll use now ? So I would go with that for now ! Still you will need to ask yourself where are you headed in this VAST world of Leather ? I realize thats almost impossible at this point, being new an all. But you need a direction of some sort to advance, This is where the nearest classes come in, the you tube videos of course ! I also recommend you start off slow and concentrate on what you are learning, LEARN Well, Then practice and practice some more ! Remember, were all here to help, but you gotta do it yourself. once you do, Then the vision will shine upon you. Good luck .
  21. Well Hell Fire, I for one am glad your back ! I could look at that purse all day long, its beautiful to me !
  22. Your getting better and better JOE ! Quicker it seems too ! And I like the simple style too !
  23. I like the idea of mason jar wraps too ! Nice job stitching them up.
