  6. Could you make a narrow, but thin, leather strip maybe 1/2" - 3/4" wide, Glue your liner in just below the edge of outside cover ? Then sew outside cover and the leather strip together ? incorporating the liner so it would be stitched right in. This would allow you to trim and burnish the leather pieces together, unable to see liner, . and the liner remains glued just below the seam, and you have no ravaled edges ? Just a thought ! ------------ I hope this helps -------------------- Wild Bill46

  14. I like most all these answers, as each has its own merits, However yes persistence is great, but, I would think its a matter of individual need, of how to use the talents we each are given ! Art, is or has been a part of my life since I can remember. I try to theorize, how it would be if, one with no talents would prevail ? or if they even could ? ------------------- Wild Bill46

  20. Side note; Thanx - 25b and Cheryl This helps me , I had no idea these tools existed ! Thanx to Dwight as well for your idea to cut circles. I re-read my post to myself and thought , I never should have even posted Ignorance, Sorry guys !
  21. I'm no expert here by any means, But I'll make a guess, That they may have been factory anodized during fabrication ????. Wild Bill46
  22. I would have to agree, circles are hard to cut out. I simply use a string to measure or mark with, and then its up to you A Head knife works good sharpened razor sharp, or, You might carefully use a very sharp trim knife, scissors/shears will also work, But, Dye cutting seems to be the most useful idea, If you had a round dye the size you want to achieve. However, I do Not recommend Rotary cutting for rounds. I'm not much help, I'm afraid, I still struggle there too ! Good luck. ---- Wild Bill46
  23. I still enjoy the simplicity of these two bags. A question if you don't mind ? In stitching these handles on, did you sew them on before you reversed it inside out ? or the other way around ? Not that it matter at all, I just wondered while looking at its simplicity. --------------- Wild Bill46
  24. Vikefan __________ Mam - O - Man, This is an eye catching piece of workmanship, I never had thought to put these specific materials together, Very good ! I'm especially fond of the round, brown, laced, leather with inlaid turquoise stone, The black leathered piece with turquoise stone looks great too ! And the stone you are looking to set, is a super looking stone all by itself. This is an area i'm thinking to venture into, and your post here, has pushed me somewhat closer , Thanx, Really nice work !..........................................Wild Bill
