  1. Eccho --------------------- Never, have I attached any Mystery braiding, but I do like the idea from Papaw using snaps. If bag was ever taken off bike and not used, they would be un-obtrusive As snaps look like they were made for motorcycle leather. Just my opinion..----------------------- Wild Bill46
  2. D1ave ---------------------------- Your completely welcome for the information given. I might add : if you'll shop www.springfield leather.com its advertizwed above in the headings most of the time They have remnants at affordable prices. You might try the scrap boxes at most Tandy stores as well. If thats what you need ? -------------------- Wild Bill46
  3. Bruno ------------------------ I would tend to agree with Tex , As this is what it appears has been done. It is a nice effect, and something different than what I have seen lately. As far as a makers mark goes, t They are something like a 3D stamp, if you'll search the advertisements above you'll realize there are several makers who stand ready to make you a makers mark as you want it. Hope your questions have been answered. ??? ---------------------------------- Wild Bill46

  6. Hi Joe, ------------------------- As always your wallets are a thing to behold ! always intrigueing and nicely done. In picture five Im seeing a relitilely new idea, at least to me, the thumb, can retreve its bills from either the top or the end with ease, and the card slots do not interfere. You, among anothers, are an inspiration to me. Even if it was an easy leather to work with. ----------- Wild Bill46

  9. Aidan ------------------ Yeah, what my friend Joe said (hohoho) Seriously, He says it better than I, But he's precicely explaining what I was trying to. another way to put it might be, to glue and fold the edges over in a hem to the size of your outter then whenever your ready glue that and sew the whole thing as is. Hope this will help ? Thanks for the assist Joe. ------------------ Wild Bill46
  10. bcflyguy -------------------- I have seen pattern such as this before, however, I cannot quite come up with whom I saw it from ??? Maybe cyberthrasher ??, treereaper ?? Im sorry, I can't give you more now, My mental computer had dementia at the moment ! ------------------------------- Wild Bill46
  11. bcflyguy ------------------- There are anumber of ways to accomplish your particular goal. 1.) Use formula as is; use 1/8" lace with 1/8" punch 2.) OR Use 5/32" punch with 1/8" lace ( a bit looser but it will seat itself ) makes it a bit softer feeling too. 3.) OR Use 3/32" punch with 1/8" lace ( tighter yes, but lace fills holes.) idea per; Electrathon Its really a personal or optional thing for the maker. Hope this might help in some way? -------------------- Wild Bill46
  12. Aidan ----------------------- I just glue a bit larger piece of folded fabrick to the outer shell, usually I try to fold over the edges to give a hem of sorts maybe 1/2" for support. I use Weldwood (red) contact cement. applied in as thin a coat as possible Im told, some use a white school type glue, still others have their favorites. I even hear some use tacky glue from Wally world ? I tried to use a Gorilla glue once, wayyyy too thick and too messy ! Once your glue sets, sew as you normally would. Hope this helps ---------- Wild Bill46
  13. Solofalcon ----------------------- This just might be the idea I will have to draw from, After the holidays, if smart phones abound as I propose they will ! I like the sewed-in magnets. Thanx, Wild Bill46

  22. B Weiss --------------------- I like your idea / design too ! It seems to work well, My trucker bilfold design is not typical either, In fact I still have some bugs to work out of it. however I have carried mine for several years very comfortably.
