  1. After looking at lightingale's post, I might be somewhat late or maybe disipointing ? Don't know if this is what you need or not ? I took it from the picture you posted. The Old fashioned way: Stidham Outfitters & Custom Leather 104 N US Hwy 281 Johnson City, TX 78636 512.818.9507 Tue-Sat 10 a.m.-6 p.m. CST. Happy leathering/painting Wild Bill46
  2. As I said . Really nice as usual Huns ! The extras are a different twist, but coming from you, one never knows. There's no need for me to say "keep up the good work". From you its gonna be great, no matter what. Wild Bill46
  3. Yeah, Ditto waiting till enough time. But I still like this outcome ! I think we all get better with time and practice. However each piece presents different circumstances ----- Wild Bill46
  4. I like your planner overall ! Antiquing looks good too ! I can see and sympathize with you too. Ain't tiny intricate leather cuts a bummer ? I'm there too !The creaser is sometimes a problem too. I find that together with, constant concentration, coordination, and a craftsman's heart, and steady hands, are what makes leather working soooo very enjoyable for me. -- Wild Bill46
  5. Another Project to stow away for myself, Thanx for the idea and your tutorial, nice job on both I'll copy to to my computer as there is not much else i'm versed in on the computer. better with my hands than my mind I'm imagining. hohoho I'm now envisioning a flight bag also, maybe my mind does still work Thanx again Wild Bill46

Not intended as an invasion of your privacy But, Could I ask, where in NW Ga. are you ? Reason for asking is I'm in Summerville with more leather enthusiasts scattered around us. Wild Bill46

  9. LeatherCollector and Windrider30 both used the correct wording IMPRESSIVE, very Impressive ! --------- Wild Bill46
  10. I have to use the word Exquisite here, This is really great tooling, and actually a good idea for what I will term, a minimalist briefcase for paperwork. Is this its intended use ? Your craftsmanship is alive and well. Wild Bill46
  11. Yes you have been busy. I liked all demonstrated your pieces. But your right, I am fond of the billfolds, but, The cross too stands out in my minds eye. Our friends really enjoy different crosses, maybe, I'll use your idea and do one for them ? Good job all around ! --- Wild Bill46

  16. To clean brushes and or equipment after you use them, As a rule of thumb, I use; whatever that medium calls for if its oil - I might use turps or turpintine, or Mineral spirits if its a water based paint such as acrylics - I use water if its Alcohol stain - I use Alcohol if its Oil stain - I use leather dye reducer Hope this might be the guide your needing. Good luck to you ----- Wild Bill46
  17. Always heard of these, My mother is from the N.E. but this is my first visualization. Really nice leather idea. They look as if, moisture and snake bites might be thwarted even if somewhat ??. Thanx, for the experience in photos.. ------------ Wild Bill46

  19. I'm Quite impressed with the tooling on your front cover. truly a work by a craftsman, The gold sets it apart and the purple does take you away to a story book culture for sure. Nice concept, your friend will always love it ! - Wild Bill46
  20. Yup, Apehangers are "bitchen" and a nice touch for a ride. Your bag is indeed a nice one, Nice work though, even though your time is rare. great work --- Wild Bill46
  21. I'm thinking you have a firm understanding of the term "ART". I think your color of choice works very well with heavy White thread, Indeed ! Your stitching out to edge might be a point of wear, if used very often ! Instead, back stitch a few holes to lock , this will correct your problem, and you'll be fine. Your edge slicking is very good for a second attempt. Stay at it, your ready to move ahead ! -- Wild Bill46
  22. Maybe not your favorite thing, But, still nice looking, It shows your hard work ! and I'm quite sure Dillon will be comfortable with it too ! -- Wild Bill46
  23. I enjoyed looking at your journals ! very nice ! In doing so, I noticed the acorns are at different strategic points on each , I'm guessing to make them each unique ? Still their a pleasure to look at, nice work -------- Wild Bill46
  24. Recently, I wanted this question answered too, As something to use, and make for myself. Tree Reaper came to my rescue. Solution; simple wooden frame grooved for T-Track, T-Bolts, and Knobs for the size bolts used. I found them available at AMAZON, ROCKLER, WOODCRAFT then drill a simple 1-1/2" bar of thin/flat aluminum as a guide. Welah. works like a charm Thanx again Reaper Wild Bill46
  25. Yup, Nice as ever. Now you have a matching set, And I would venture to guess this is a first matchin set for you ? Still this croc is nice , Great craftsmanship on your behalf Rohn. ----- Wild Bill46
