  1. I don't think I can give better advise than has already been given. Your right too, Practice, practice, practice ! On the bright side for myself, I like your choice in lace/exterior coordination color ! I will be looking forward to your answer for handsw, also, what type of lace was this ?   4. I think your headed in the right direction, Practice, practice, practice is the key to all your leather working endeavors. The MC piece looks as if its woodtone, is this intentional ? I like the Chevron too, But, I think the dragon is my favorite ! Keep practicing, your on your way. --- Wild Bill
  5. Just as an added idea, a scrap piece of leather used as a flap over the cam might detour thread or lace from hanging on it. by; simply falling away ? just a thought ! Your workmanship is very re-fined. ---- Wild Bill46

  7. My idea leans toward using this same brand/logo but making it wide , meaning, like a double edge, Then practice your tooling, Then use your back grounding near the outer outline, So the brand/logo will stand out. You got the hardest part nailed. Just my idea, hope it helps --- Wild Bill46

Oh yeah, you've come to the right place for inspiration and guidance, This is the best leather site on earth.(imho) In trying to get you situated; Your idea for a kit, Is what many have started with and its worked out Ok . Once you come a ways, you can choose your own particular leather, and tools as needed. Hammering from the kitchen table; May not be as bad as you expected ? Maybe you might try a tool box mat, or carpet I've heard works , They say, Pound-O Boards from Tandy will work under your granite slab for noise elimination ? There was a thread here, not long ago about this topic. you might do a search here or check the archives. Your ideas for leather working seem to be well warranted, I recomend not over thinking anything, although this craft will make you think each step through, Just have fun, and be happy your here. --------- Wild Bill46 !
