  1. Yeah Bob; ____________________________ Know exactly what you mean in saying hard to maneuver as you age, and the music, lights, the coffee, heat just a few steps away. Added to that you could even do these things without dressing if you so desired ! Sorry for the intrusion on your thread, TBoyce . ---------------------------- Wild Bill46
  2. Rohn -------------------------------- Nice carving /tooling, your lacing is very even and looks great ! Nice work Congratulations ! ----------- Wild Bill46
  3. In an admittedly clumsy attempt to help you, maybe you could use Bob's idea with wool felt, In a fashon simular to using a patch, in gun barrel cleaning ? Just a thought, maybe it'll help ? ---------------------- Wild Bill46
  4. Boyce ----------------------------------------------------------------- I'm afraid, I'll be short on advise for you. You see, I'm like some of the others with quit a small work station. I have plans to move into the spare bedroom for my work area, but, I'm still waiting to find time to build a custom bench to fit that small spare bedroom, and for my lil lady to clear ahm or /sort her clutter there. These accomplished , although still small, its bigger than the tiny desk I'm now using in the computer area. ---- Wild Bill46.
  5. Chris ------------------------------------------- What I do in this situation is; complete the shapeing, carving, punching/holes, etc. Use something small, round to dye holes/slits, Then dye all the rest at once, In this manor it excepts the color all at the same rate ! Hope im not confusing you ? and that this might help ! -------------------------------- Wild Bill46
  6. Thanx Again, Bob -------------------- Wild Bill46
  7. Chrissharpe ------------------------------------------------------- This is an Ultimately beautiful sheath for a first time effort. The only difference I see is; You say you used a diamond punch ? As I do ! Maybe we both need to train ourselves better in the art of useing the awl as Dwight suggests ? Good workmanship . Congratulations ! ---------------- Wild Bill46 Thanx Dwight
  8. Itch Im exactly as mentioned by others, in finding cotton swabs to be almost utolerable to use, Too, as others have mentioned, sometimes find myself using Tandys Aluminum applicator, But have found it to to be cumsy at best, but, still somewhat better than most other applicators. Now THANX to Bob I'll give his version a try , it seems to be a better idea than any of the others. Thanx Bob ! and Good luck Itch ! ------------------- Wild Bill46
