Thank you Gary, I'm flattered and thanks for the tips, I've taken notes to remember next time! I like braiding and lacing so I'll pop my head into it as soon as possible. Gonna get me some nice books on the subject aswell. ArtS, nice carrier! That'll work good for any type of bottle. Scotch single malt whiskys often comes in cylinder boxes so it might be worth checking if there's someone nearby drinking it that would donate a box. Rayban, how about that cylinder box or are you looking for somethin more simple?? I just thought of a nice piece of leater that wraps around the bottle and then tighten it with a cord so bottle doesn't slip out and two handles on the sides. With some trick tooling on the leather it could work well consider the little amount of time that'd go inte such a thing. Just gotta make sure the bottle doesn't slide out of it, maybe some rubberspray treatment on the inside. Tom

Hey Hedge, you know your way around leather and it's absolutely true what you say. This braid has a steel wire inside that needs reshaping after use. It was just a fun thing to try that I threw in when making the sheething. It should have been tighter aswell but this was my first (and so far only) braid. That mexican basketweaving was also my first except for a 4" testpiece before getting serious. Thanks alot for your kind words and I apreciate any help I can get! Tom

Thank you Guys! It's buried in some thread around here, not in showoff anymore. Picturedense off course and some stuff on assembly aswell. Tom

This one's for whisky but any liquid will do off course this is not a bottle solution and you'll hva to poor the precious beaverage from the bottle and over to it. Just show you anyways, maybe it can give some inspiration in at least one direction or another. Good luck with your project! Tom

Anvil Customs Chop Seats & other stuff......
TomSwede replied to anvilcustoms's topic in Motorcycles and Biker Gear
I just love that belt! Anvil is a good old metal band and i love the look of actual anvils so I kind of envy your business name, maybe I could run a Swedish department for ya, lol: sorry for joking around. I'm dead tired! The colouring and the black lace work really well together and I love the lettering aswell, I'd have no probs with wearing this one. Pink lacing looks fun and I'm just one off those guys that think there's no wrong stuff, just different people with different needs. It's a cool belt, kinda! Thanks for showing! Tom -
Championship belt straps

I've used alot of Fiebing acrylic spray and think I'd dare to give it a go on a project like this but I'm currently testing Fiebings leather sheene wich produces a better look, I think. The spray look a little too plastic I think but my customers have loved the finish. I have items that's about 6-7 years old with that and still looks good. Leather sheen is new to me but I like the look better with it, I just don't know how it will hold up for the future, concerns I have is about cracking when leather is bent throughout use and possible wear off over time and such. Leather sheen is also acrylic but has a milder look to it and comes in liquid form. Doesn't smell very bad (the spray is awful) and I can easily apply it with a sponge and cloth. I tested Supersheene a couple of times but didn't like the look of it. Tom -
THANK YOU, Roo! It has a Scandinavian page that contains some stuff of importence for me. Good Norse mythology stuff can be hard to find. Tom

Hey man! That's a totally fun and crazy idea but it works! I love it! Basketweaving looks great too. Is it dressed with foam or wood or??? inside the lining? A stirrup lamp! Gotta be your own idea! Tom

What a nice looking toolbag, Taz! It looks outstanding and I can understand that the guy was so happy! What kind of braid did you lace it with and about beveling lace how's it done? Good job! Tom

Weell, it's a bang and a boom and then you're suddenly 35 and wonder what went wrong, lol so better plan ahead than like some of us half-old boys trying to get our slow heads around this! Great work and nice lacing! Tom

Veery nice, Roo! I have a similar in my tattoo flash collection that I wanted to do for years! It looks very good and about the dying problem I can say I share your worry 'bout it. Sure would look good with red n yellow flames on a black background. Tom -

Beautiful work Brent! Tom -
Nice stuff Drac! Spike rivets sure looks good on about anything but kinda hard to fit into your pocket (but very pleasurable once it is in, oooh my!) Hey, how is it held together on the back? I waz tinking that handstitching is not your favourite hobby so it'd be kind cool if you had machinesewn a zipper there to avoid stitching. tom

Wonderful stuff! Love that maglite/pocket thing. It sure would be nice to get a closer look at that wallet folded out but from the little i can see of it I think it looks very promising. The sun (?) motif on it seem to be very nice. Ah, theres so many nice things showing here and I just wanna do some but stuck with bigger stuff that need my attention....aaahhhh Tom

Aaaahhh what a truly bizarre leather creation and with that casket, love on first sight. Hey, I've found out that when doctor's say that it's actually 'cuz you're beyond rescue!!! C'mon, someday!!?? yeah right! Just keep doing your stuff man! Now you got me thinking cigarbox casketstyle, maybe I sketch on one this weekend when I will be in my other house in the Swedish outback with the wolves and bears, yeah! How many hours in total of making this liondemonskull and do you mold with some sort of plug?? Nice going!! Tom
