  1. Beautiful stuff! I recently made the same decision as you about stepping up to a more serious level, but lots to learn so I think I'll hammer on and one day make stuff like that animal of yours..and...about that animal, I'd like to know what it is? Here is what I think, lives in northern parts of US and seem to be somewhere between elk and deer but is a elk species, could it be that it goes by the name carriboo (spelling??) or sumting?? Seen those here before and they seem to be called elk, I think. Wonderful stuff, keep it going! Tom
  2. Interestin and nice stuff! Looking forward to see more!! Tom
  3. Looks real good to me. Nice job with the tooling and colouring. Tom
  4. Very nice bags, Ian! The red one will look slick on the right bike! Tom
  5. Love that gold and silver. It looks similar to the paints I use and they are very fun to work with (small small flakes in the paint), applies really well with no streaking. I like the way you delt with the rope, looks very good. As usual your stuff is beautiful. Tom
  6. Looking good Howard! Egyptian art is very nice and I'm gonna enjoy seeing it on leather. I just wonder what kind of colouring you'll come with, just have to wait and see. The eye of Ra is watching over you! Tom
  7. Those suspenders look really great! I almost want a pair myself jut 'cuz they look so nice! The tooling and colouring is very nice and well brought out. Tom
  8. Sure turned out nice with that colouring. Liked the way you worked with highlighting around the green stuff. Tom
  9. Greetings and welcomes! I'm sure you'll be able to find what you need here and a lot of helpful people that'll share their knowledge. Tom
  10. Hey Leathercat, nice going! It looks excellent and fun to see grafitti art on leather for a change! I have to second that your mom sure have passed on a dose of crafting skill. I have a son that is ten and hope I'll be able to see him have a go one of theese days but nintendo DS is a serious competitor right now, lol. Hope we get to see more and tell your mom hi from me! Tom
  11. and welcome to the board! At the age of 35 I'm still a fullblown heavy metal banger but with a larger belly Canada? Voivod ! Tom

    My First Ever

That is some impressive first carvings (heck, even if they came from an experienced carver they would rock). Looks like you got it in your blood! I especially like the way you carved and tooled the waves around the ship, elegant. Eagle is wicked too! What are you up to theese days? Tom
  14. Neat book! Stitching looks very nice and I like the corners. This format is nice, fits well in most pockets. Rules? Tom
  15. Blacks and reds are so nice to work with. I really like what you've accomplished with the black burst edges. Looks supernice. The laced bracer around it is a nice detail aswell. Breaks up the basketwave and makes a more interesting item. Tom
  16. Looks like you did real good with the birds feathers. Nice stuff! Tom
  17. Hey, is this what's called a tobacco burst Looks very nice! Insides are no fun to colour but I'd probably would have done that anyway and maybe try to slick it too. I've heard that gum-trag is working fine for that but never tried myself, yet. Nice going with the tooling on the edges (following the lacing). I think that is really boring and a drag to do but it pays off in the end as opposed to just have a laced edge. Tom
  18. If i knew for sure I had the material but the side I have right now is reserved for the tubes so i would have to go and buy a whole new side to get the material + I got reserved material for a bike seat. It's time to prioritize right now, I'm sure you begin to feel it now that you have stuff going out on orders aswell, maybe swamped in work soon:-) and no time to ride bike this summer.... but after cutting material for tubes I see what is left. Gonna start pre-assembly on Sunday with a hangover, lol. Just gonna drill holes in the plastic innertubes to save weight and the get to the pattern layouts and leathercutting. Tom I WANNA I WANNA I WANNA
  19. Love the skull that peeps up from the edge and the brass buckle is very nice. Really go well with the colour, darn it. Now I want a new belt for my self, the one I did years ago is just to big to fit in the holders on the pants. Tom
  20. Yeah man! That is a darn cool belt and very Spideresque! Nice detail on those feathers. You did good and as usual nice skulls! Tom
  21. Just regular kangoo 3mm...Aussies, lol. That stuff is the price of gold in Sweden :w00t: Tom
  22. I'm in AWE (spelling?) with this one! That's one crazy banana, dude! I love it! The tooling is just fantastic, Looks so deep and very smooth and that black hat really tops it off so nice. Tom
  23. Hey there, NIIICE stuff going there! The skull is waaay nice and you sure have some excellent backgrounding style of your own going on at the moment. Have I asked you this before? What tool(s) do you use for the circular backgrounding? I have a good memory but very short, lol. Keep it up! Tom
  24. It sure does look interesting and the price is redicilous. Can't make out if they ship to Sweden but maybe I'll try to look into it. Thanks for the tip Scouter! Tom
