Hey I went to the Anime Convention last year and they would not appreciate this kinda work there. Sorry. I am one of them but with a wicked twist. I think the only thing that would work will be a Cosplay suit out of leather. Well, as you can see we like it here so let's start with that.

I think that knowing a weak point in the bend will mean maybe evaluating and even reinforcing from the inside. The carving will bend but some color dabbing and reinforcement might help for future stretch. Like a patch... That's why I lined the inside of my bag leather strip.

Looks good. I love drawing directly on the leather. I sometimes use it like a sketch pad and see what comes out. This turned out pretty good. A few added textures could help but it does look good as is.
