Wow David this is nice. I really like your seat suggestions. Your lacing is awesome and your tooling kicks ass. Is this already on a pan? Can I ask what foam you use for the seats? This is really nice and they would only win by using this.
Thanks Tina. I will post my site of skulls soon. I have around 60 or 70 skulls designed. lol I'm kinda OCD...lol
Thanks Outcast, Yeah the color is even better in person. I put a saddle tan on the skulls and the rest is tan.
can I just say Wow. I love bags and this one is awesome. I like the simplicity of it. Mind if I give it a try? I have an idea breaking out of my head now. LOL
Wow, 2 A.S. Knives? I just got mine and it rocks. Great box and carving. I like it.
Roo, That is the a Tandy knife. A.S. Swivel knife. 5/8" Barrel, leather wrapped. Nice but pretty big. I love mine but have to get an angled blade if there is one.
I love your passion for your bag. I do that too. Good work and I'm glad you enjoy it. Hey, who makes that Ox Blood Dye? This is the second time I heard it mentioned? I like your bag BTW
Hey Tom,
The art IS actually from a temporary tattoo. You're good man. I kept it cause I liked it and knew I would do something with it some day. Ask Drac what kinda messages go in here....
Yes Roo,
I had this happen recently and I had to step away for a bit. I felt I was rushing my work also. Same as you. In making all my skulls I was trying to get alot done in a short time. I was putting a deadline on myself that was not even there. Anyway, I stepped away and all of a sudden I was inspired with an idea to do a fun piece. This was my "get out of funk" piece.
Keep in touch Roo you will be fine.
Scouter that is awesome. I saw the chicks and just had to keep the pic. I'm glad you liked it too. Is sure is a sexy pic. Your piece looks good. Now go show it off and get more people attracted to it.
Drac, I am just sitting her waiting for your next post.....lol O_O
DelNeroDesigns,
I live in L.A. and I have been playing around with some shortcuts too. Although I love to draw I usually do my own designs directly on the leather with a stylus. But in the cases that I don't have my own design I either trace the pic to the leather the old fashion way or I draw it on Illustrator and have a plotter draw it on a piece of leather covered with a clear plastic. That cheat only works on some stuff.
I hope this helps in opening ideas and options. Let me know if you want to get together on a project.
This was done in the cheat fashion but I still had to cut it and tool it after. But the drawing was on the leather by plotting.
