  1. Cool! Glad you made it! Thanks for sharing it! I might try it, and then I'll let you know and post pics Sandra
  2. You're using an Apple PC? Can't help you much there But are you trying to upload as an image file, or pdf? Or zipped? If you're trying to upload an image file, maybe it's crashing because of the file size. Maybe you should convert it to pdf or zip it.
  3. You're welcome Gillian! And how did it go? Have you decide to sell the pattern?
  4. Hi! I've bought a pattern from this site once, and I had no problem unzipping it. Sometimes it happens to be unable to unzip a file, and then I use a small program called "7-zip". It's free. Just be careful when you install it, to just install the program and not any toolbars or free programs that it may offer. Sandra
  5. Hi Indidana. Why don't you try the other way around? I mean, use the wood burner first and then paint it. In the burned areas, thin the paint (you used acrylic paints, right?) just to give it a slight coloration. And by experience, I know that the paint (I used dye, though) won't stick the same way as in the rest of the leather. I don't know if you're experienced or not with burning leather (I'm not just made a few tries), but just in case check this free tutorial by Lora s. Irish: http://www.lsirish.com/tutorials/pyrography-tutorials/pyrography-leather-journal/ The only problem is that you'll have to start a new case. And the filigree is a great idea! Sandra
  6. Hi John! Welcome to the forum! If you like, you can introduce yourself in the "Member Gallery". You'll find great knowledge here in the forum. It's an interesting research you're doing, and thank you for sharing the results. Sandra
  7. Hi Benjamin, see this link http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/~serpent/sca/gorget/ maybe it will help. Sandra
  8. Hi, Sorry, I've only used the bottled version!
  9. I use Leather Sheen in bottle, and I live in Europe and bought in a german site. In fact, there are several european sites that sell the bottled version, they just don't sell abroad (if shipped by air) the spray version! Ballovarre, I like the bottled leather Sheen, doesn't have a strong odour and in my opinion, does give a beautiful finish, not a plastic feel. There's a site in Denmark that sells it: http://www.leatherhouse.eu/products/35-top-finish/631-leather-sheen-liquid-118ml/ The site I bought it from, in Germany: http://www.lederhaus.de/lederzubehoer/lederpflege.php Another german site: https://www.patin-a.de/shop/USER_ARTIKEL_HANDLING_AUFRUF.php?Kategorie_ID=568&Ziel_ID=1191#Ziel1191 And another: https://www.rickert-werkzeug.de/de/Farbe-Pflege-Kleber And an english site that sells it in several bottle sizes: http://abbeyengland.com/Store/tabid/77/List/1/productid/69370/language/en-GB/Default.aspx?txtSearch=leather+sheen Hope I helped you. Happy new year everyone Sandra

  24. I found the links, even though I don't use this formula http://www.adesignerlife.net/?s=product+price http://www.craftprofessional.com/craft-pricing-formula.html The last link has an excel sheet for download with the formula!
  25. Hi Gillian, sorry couldn't answer you before. Well, that price is better, and looking at pattern packs as orientation isn't a bad idea! You're right, pricing our things isn't easy! Some time ago, I found a pin on Pinterest that teaches how to price handmade works, maybe it would help you pricing your pattern too. I'll give you the link when I find it on my Pinterest boards! When you have the pattern ready, let me know! Have a great weekend! Sandra
