  1. Howdy Freak and Huge Thanks for your very nice comments:-) I lined it with black calf leather (no picture at the moment), the snake is just to fragile to use on the inside(?)
  2. Manny manny Thanks Crystal...I hope I can keep it up:-) Dangerous huh? Naw, they're just some cuddly little bone pieces:-)
  3. I would like to think I'm both... And the artist in me makes the mechanical part work so much better :-)
  4. Hi and Welcome to the forum:-) Thank you for your comments, I'll try keeping it up:-) Thanks Casey, I'm happy you like it:-) It's true, you need to come back much more often...We miss the Frog too:-)
  5. Wow, I don't know what to say but...Massive Thank You:-)
  6. Would you believe if I say I actually really like snakes? I use to have some (without the poison) and I Love the way they look...l specially like the Viper look. They're fascinating to me...But a spider in my sight, well lets just say I get the hiby jibbies all over, Thats creepy!!! I'll teach you as soon as we can make it happend...You will be surpriced how simple it can be:-) ps. Love your new picture, looks like summer:-)
  7. Now, I don't know to much about the traditional patterns but this cover is really nice...I love the details on the inside, very good looking:-)
  8. Just glued (and keeping my fingers crossed)...It seams to be rather sturdy, I have tried to manipulate it and with normal use it should hold up just fine. Great Thanks:-) I like trying to keep it true to nature if possible.
  9. *LOL* Sometimes it's hard to hide that dark part My first try at working with snake and it's not that easy. I did glue it ontop of another more sturdy leather and I'm sure I made a bunch of errors...You learn as you go along:-)
  10. Hi Hilly, I don't but I do use the keen beveler on all edges. I like them to "stand out" on the top (but I wish to do it on the backside...Need to get me a french skiver or so first) but my guess is that this could be made to anyones taste:-)
  11. The last of my unfinished items that's been on the shelf for some time, finally done:-) It is real diamondback rattlesnake behind the skulls...
  12. I suck at trying to explain things, so I'm hoping "a picture is worth a thousand words" :-) The first picture is the finished product and the second is the parts I have used. Draw your own pattern cuz these are just made to show meassurments and is not made in the right scale. When I assembly the front and back together with the ridge part I let it overlap a quarter inch.
  13. I've been following this thread with interest...I'm so happy everything whent well and that everyone is happy at the end:-)
  14. Thnak you Andy, I'll try keeping it up:-) Yeah, please make some cool masks, we need to get some Roo-ish mask power in the forum again :-)
  15. I can only agree, very classy. I like the clean look and do appriciate the time spent on the braiding David:-)
  16. I see you've been real busy...Love your skull girl, very colorful and "tasty" :-)
  17. Nice seeing you back Frog, and wonderful work on this case and...I love, love your ScrollSkull
  18. Great Thanks Johann:-) *LOL* and here I was thinking the hide was dead and unable to kick back :-)
  19. Thanks, I love sharing my leather work with other leather workers:-) *RAFL* I'll have it inmind if it makes the trip over the Atlantic:-) Be brave and just dive in to it, head first and mind gone:-) Hi Clay, I thought you would recognize them:-) I finally got the braiding done, I really did not want to touch it for quite some time, braiding and my patience is somewhat not synchronized to well. The whole purse pattern is an original too so I had to make pieces as I whent along and it was also rather time consuming. Now I'm of to finish the last half made project, I hope to have it made by next week or so:-)
  20. Great Thanks both of you:-) Lil'bro...It is blue "water" on there just the camera don't pick it up...It's not as intensive as the lining:-)
  21. So, another purse I started last winter. The braiding got me on this one plus some edges is NOT where i want them to be...The blue lining leather (lamb) is way to fragile for making gazillions of holes in. As usual it is colored with Angelus spirit dyes and some acrylic paint in black and white. Anyways, here it is I hope you enjoy:-)
  22. Love love your Polar bear... The tummy's my favvo part, it looks soft enought o lay your head on:-)
