  1. Hi Marcel and please do:-) I "talked" to them last winter and they said that they were looking for an European supplier. I just love the product and hope I can continue using it, it's soooo helps making my stuff shine:-)
  2. Hi Kate, I have tried other sites at the same time in different windows or just before/after and it's just this one...I notised it came yesterday (or the day before that?) when the ads on the side showed up. It's to the point now when I take up topics in other windows and wait looking at oter stuff until it "clears" and I have a medium fast Internet connection. I hope this helps or I guess I have a super sensetive computer :-)
  3. I think that ads and such is a great way of keeping this welth of knowledge online but... Am I the only one having a speed problem? It takes forever to get from one page to the next and some topics I can not get up within the time it takes me to get tired waiting (and I do get LW waaaay more time than any other site *S*) Go LeatherLady, your doing fine:-)
  4. Gorgeous Scott:-) I have used the Angelus ever sinse I started with leather, I love the vividness in them. Have you tried to mix your own color? They mix great with each other and there is a reducer you can use too to make it less strong. I don't know how much Angelus them selfes takes for the dye but other than them, Turtlefeathers.net has the best prices I have ever found and is super quick to send out. Paul... If you can get anyone to send to Europe, please tell me, I'm moving back to Sweden soon and my biggest headache is how to get "my dyes" over there.
  5. Good work, really like the blue box

    Mallets and Mauls

Well, even the used ones goes for more $ than one might exspect on Ebay, seams everyone wants one:-) Now, there is places other than Tandy that has good mauls and mallets for less $ (ex. Barry King, I'm sure others can fill the list more) plus you do have some people in here that makes the most useful and beautiful mauls ever to a very affordable price...I paste in a picture here of a light weight maul from BearMan here on LW that I use almost every day and treasure enormously
  7. I don't think they still have it but I might be wrong? I think (without running and look it up) that it is from the 70's (?) It belonged to a kit including the tree, accessories and all the pieces of leather cut out. Every now and again this pattern shows up on Ebay...I have seen 4-5 of them the last year :-)
  8. The only saddle pattern I have is the one Tandy came out with as a part of a package making a western saddle...I have the whole tracing pattern with the parts and the flower design.
  9. Well, I'm a European (living in the US) and talking nada french but I do know how to say... Welcome to the best and friendliest place on the net:-)
  10. I'm with Tammy on this one...I soooo wish I could touch it:-) Absolutly beatyful work, color and finish, I love the style you have with all the different leaves it all fits so nicely together. The idea of the fitted pockets inside is very appealing and I think good overall design work, BearMan:-)
  11. Hi and Welcome Rick, ...and yeah, we all Love photos I'm sure you're going to like this forum and the people here...Best place on the net
  12. Rayban, The elastic bands and the clips can usually be found in any fabric store (type Joanns) This should be fairly easy to make yourself:-)
  13. Hi Josh, another thing is to make sure you don't have to much "dead space". I changed you last picture a wee bit, moved the two items closer together and croped away some background that did not fill any purpose, maybe just slightly to much cropping but you will get it after playing around some more:-)
  14. Awesome tooling and colors Your work is always beautiful, wood or leather...I have to ask, what did you use to get the that color, I love the depth and the warm tones in it
  15. Much Better Josh:-) Now when you start working with layers, it is going to be much easier. A small tip: Decide before you start how the shaddow will fall in the picture, ie; from which direction is the light coming from, this will help to make the picture look more proffecional overall. I played around again with your picture...This is what you soon can make (rather easy in Photoshop) Just to give you some ideas:-)
  16. Kate gave you a really good link:-) The lines, text etc. Learn how to work with layers. There are a numbers of tutorials (very good search word) out there for doing things like this, I could never ever make one as good but in short: 1. I croped away the background. 2. Made some shaddows that I thought was the right angle and such. 3. I made an extra layer, put i behind the object, shaded some colors and that's the new background. 4. another new layer ontop of everything to make the new thinn lines...then some shaddows. 5. the last layer for the text and again, some shaddows...Voila:-)
  17. Hi Josh, I played around with one of your newer photos today, this is the resault:-)
  18. What a beauty:-) Really nice job and I love the small extra details/pieces too.
  19. Thanks a bunch Kevin, really nice of you:-)
  20. Thanks a load Art, (Sorry I missed your comment here, I should have replyed earlier)
  21. Hi there, I use orange is manny of my designs and I mix them too. I mix yellow, light pink and the reduser of Angelus spirit dye until I get the tone I want. I think the best way of applying it would be an airgun maybe?
  22. Beautiful work Marlon, I do love your hand stitching and I really, really like the overall clean look it has
