I decided to try my hand at a few guitar straps, then went and sold them to a local store.

So I'm looking to do some guitar straps in a sunburst effect like on the guitars. However I'm having trouble figuring out the colours. They use a brown for the edge but the centre is something called "suncast amber" and it looks quite yellow but contains red. Obviously if I just add red to yellow I get orange. I'm thinking perhaps that I need to thin out a light brown and add a little tiny drop of red to it? Any thoughts? Thanks team. STU

Those look fantastic. How wide do you typically make them? I'm wanting to get started but there's so many different widths that people use and I'm not really certain where to start.

When I asked at the (government) liquor store I was told they took most of them out because they promote alcoholism. Now you can buy them but only occasionally and a very select inventory. It's weird.

Haha, I wish. You can't even buy mini-bottles where I am. I had to purchase two full sized vodka just to get the ones you see. Such a hardship. . .

So a client requested a western looking bandolier to hold alcohol mini bottles for a birthday present. First try but turned out pretty well. Man I look so small and weak compared to what I'm used to. Stupid pneumonia. . .

I wish, all the machines went for between $1000 and $1300 CDN for the adlers and I just couldn't justify picking another one up. Plus of course that company was going out of business so you always have to wonder how the maintenance has been the last few months with money being so tight. . .

Hi folks, I have an Adler 467 that I desperately need a new hand wheel for as the old one is broken, I've had zero luck hunting one down except through Adler and they seemed to want about $350 for the part (assuming it's the right part as the diagram was super confusing and the guy didn't seem to understand what I was asking for). Does anyone have any suggestions?

Well the quote I received was $400 for one or $1000 for 10... im not in machining so I haven't a bloody clue. I'm not even trying to make money on it, just throwing it out there if anyone was interested.

So I got a quote back from my machinist. If enough people want them I could get a run done for $100usd each plus shipping. Aluminum burnishes with steel shanks in whatever shank diameter you want. Interest? Stu

I'm currently pricing out getting 10 of these made in steel. I have a friend who's a machinist. I'll let you all know pricing once I get it.

And yet I've let it dry for days and buffed it till the cloth comes back clean, but the resoline hits and boom, dye all over.

My issue with resoline is that it makes any dye run everywhere!
