Beautiful work as always : )
  3. Really nice work, what did you line those with?
  4. Nice work, really like the design. Good basket weave and the construction looks fantastic.
  5. Really glad to hear it went well and you survived ; )
  6. I made the mistake of poor planning so I picked up a guitar strap kit. This was one of the most difficult pieces I've worked on due to the quality of the leather. It was tough to carve and just wouldnt take a coat of dye consistently. This is how it looked before deglazing and using Fiebing's black to get it a consistent coloring. I wanted to just black the background in the design and use tan. I was still happy with it all black (forgot to grab an all black pic). Edited for my poor typing and grammar : )
  7. Thanks Ferret, I'm just really glad you like it and it's useful for you : )
  8. Love your stuff, your pinstripping is awesome and looks like your leatherwork will be great also.
  9. RDB and Indypbear are right on track! Keep in mind that your only introducing them to leatherwork and not trying to teach the finer points. If you try to go to far in depth you'll only ensure you have no fun and stress out with the class being that large. Make it a fun introduction that peaks their curiosity to learn more later. Remember to be flexible and let them have fun and you will too : )
  10. Thanks!! Exactly what I use it for, I take my drawing stuff with me to work to use during breaks. It's free advertising too : )
  11. I just put this together out of scraps for my drawing pencils : ) Still a work in progress.
  12. Very nice, I've been wanting to do something like the scroll work you did.
  13. Kate, Where did you pick up you acrylic thinners? I've just very recently began playing with an airbrush that was gifted to me and have NOT had much success using water to thin paint with. I saw a bottle of Liquitex thinner this weekend but was hesitant to pick up with no mixing instructions/formula and it was kind of pricey for experimentation.
  14. "Is that the Craftool skullpunch in use? Just saw that one for the first time today online at my supplier so I was wondering how it looked in use". Tom, it is the Craftool skull, i just painted them going for the faded out look. All,Thanks for the positive feedback, its REALLY appreciated!
