  1. Great job
  2. You should read a book called The E Revisited. It is a great look at what to expect going into business.
  3. So, I don't want it then. Thanks.
  4. I know this is an old thread, but...... Anything on identifying this model Atkins? Looks like a juki, but I don't know which model. Thanks
  5. I don't think the leather is too thin. Maybe it is too soft.
  6. On Amazon wuta mentions the steel as being dc53 as well. Just for information purposes.
  7. Yeah, sorry for that. I carry one and the other was a gift. I noticed on your problems you are using a machine. Have you tried handsewing a few?

    My bad.
  9. You may want to buy a trailer to pull behind that rv. Ha! There are lots of great tutorials on here and lots of people to answer questions when you get stuck. If I can offer some money saving advice..... Start with several of the same small items. This will give you a multitude of experience with a small amount of leather. My example is simple bracelets. You can learn to use the strap cutter. Learn to dye, tool, stitch, finish, burnish, and get some hardware experience all from one or two small pieces of leather. A single shoulder or a few bellies will give you months of fun while you develop your techniques and style. The repition will pay huge dividends in knowledge. And if you mess a few up you aren't out half a side of leather. All of this will lead you right into making belts. I also suggest Al Stohlman's "leather tools" and the "art of stitching". If you happen to run across one F.O. Beards "leather secrets" can teach you just about everything you would want to make or carve. Good luck, and enjoy.

So, like a scarf scarf? I thought that might be a roping term or something.
  11. I have been wanting to try the Wuta pricking irons for awhile now. About 90 bucks for the set. He is good to deal with.

I have no idea what those things are.... Sorry.
  13. They don't have a will call counter? That's a little odd.
  14. Looks good.
  15. Great looking bag. Very sha aha.
  16. You sure put out some wicked stuff. I always enjoy what you show.
  17. I'm not one to rely on but I will say this.... Fiebings does make an antique paste in natural or neutral. I have used this for burnishing edges and it doesn't have a big effect on color. I don't do tooling, good luck.
  18. If you have been using Tandy it will still probably be miles above that. Even the stuff Jeff throws away is miles above the Tandy stuff.
  19. Cool, thanks for the info. Just got a reply back from seller that it is already sold.
  20. That's the best photo of the feet. It could be 3 bars jumbled together, but maybe not. I was hoping someone could easily identify it.
