  1. Ok, this thing is just insanity at it's best. Short of the apocalypse, I can't see a practical use for it. But there are plenty of cool things that have little practical use. I think I love it.
  2. Thought I had posted already. Check out Springfield Leather. They have a good looking kit and according to their website.....if you call them up they will adjust the kit somewhat to fit your needs. Have fun.
  3. Thanks guys. I'm making sure it stays at hobby level.
  4. Yes the mill.
  5. I would like to see a picture, please.
  6. Well the only problem you have now is which maul to use.
  7. I just wanted to throw this out there. I recently went back to my former employer working in his granite shop. So, I have access to granite pieces. I have several in my yard that can be had for free. If your willing to come get one or two. Most are small sink cutouts or cook top cut outs. I live in Bossier City. I'm not shipping or selling them. If you want something straightened and polished we can work out a nominal fee. If you want a bigger piece for a table top that can be had but, you will have to purchase it from my employer. I'm hoping to help out fellow newbies and maybe meet some like minded leather workers. Anyways, hope this helps someone. Have fun.
  8. I know very little about carving, but I love the way you set the corner florals outside of the border line. That's a clean and classy look.
  9. If you have a variable speed grinder you can clean up the edge. It will take a little money for materials. I'd be happy to walk you through the process. ( I work in granite)
  10. That three years was a good investment.
  11. Thanks, Chris. I was worried I got it all too dark.
  12. Thanks Ray.
  13. Yeah, for my bevelers I just bevel an edge of leather. Then apply some rouge and run beveler backwards.
  14. Thanks. I'd prefer it to be more finished looking.
  15. Thanks, she posted it to an art teacher forum and two people want one. Plus when I posted it on Facebook a former teacher of mine asked me to make here a concealed ccarry purse. I don't know what I'm doing. This is supposed to be my hobby.
  16. I foresee a sticky thread in your future.
  17. I'm new to carving so I didn't want to post a critique. Plus, I don't know what they are. But, they are pretty.
  18. Definitely is a quiver. I was just answering grandpajoel's question.
  19. It's a bow holster. Wicked color contrast. Love it.
