  1. I like the K frame holster and the PX4...good job!
  2. Haven't posted pics in a while, but here are 3 that I have played around with recently. A production Shoulder Holster for a Beretta 92. A test holster for a Colt 1903 with elephant trim on rough out body. A test holster (range) for a Para LTW 4.25" all natural.
  3. Welcome Ivan to the forums. We are glad that you are here. It is always good to see the work of fellow leather workers from around the world. Thank you for sharing your pictures with us. Those knife sheathes look really good. As Dave already pointed out the center seam sheath is really neat. I like it ! I really like the black handle dagger in the second set of pictures and I am a big fan of the damascus blade you have in the center seam sheath. It is very nice! Did you make the damascus? I enjoy bladesmithing as well but I have too many hobbies and I do not get enough time to perfect my bladesmithing. Again, welcome to the forums and we hope to see more of your work.
  4. Them some mighty fine holsters, as always, awesome work! I really like that badge holder it totally rocks.
  5. The term "gummed back" is kind of misleading. It's really just a veg tanned piece that has been gummed then sanded down smooth. It's not tacky as one might think when hearing the term. It is very good for making holsters and will not affect the ability to adhere pieces together. It gives a very "finished" look to the holster.
  6. Pretty nice lookin rig you got there. I always like shark trim. Good job!
  7. Thanks guys for the compliments and side commentary I always enjoy hearing about other people's hobbies. I see it as a reflection of a persons personality.
  8. It's been a while since I have posted anything. Family issues have been taking up the bulk of my time these past 2 months. Things are on the up-and-up now so here is the latest. I made this one for my brother's S&W 19 in 6 inch. I imagine my Dad will be wanting one soon since he just recently purchased a S&W 19 in 4 inch.

    Found A Landis

    What model of Landis?
  10. went to tandys today, new tools, some dye, leather and cement

  11. PeterK - awesome job - those holsters look really nice. The only critique I have is the square corners on the 1911 holster and the snaps on the Makarov. It is of my opinion that you will find that the square corners will catch when you don't want them too and will bend and fold and after time look rather ragged, so I would round them if it were me. Just my .02 Other than that they look really good.
  12. Lobo - that's funny. The more and more I see of the trailers for the movie the more I think I want to see it. At first my devotion to the original was such that I thought that there was no way I would want to see this remake, but I am going to try to talk my dad and brother into seeing it over Christmas vacation when we all get together.
  13. Got my mom a new camera for Christmas and had to get it set up and make sure I know how everything works 'cause she lives in Florida and I can't just go over and help her use it. Anyhow, here is a another pic of the holster.
  14. Phipps - I dont really have a pattern. I started from the patterns sold at Tandy. The holster pack and the gun belt pack. I modified them a little to fit my tastes. Ollies - I made the belt out of a 4 oz split so it does not actually have a flesh side and hair side. The belt is extremely flexible and comfortable. One thing that I did was I put a reinforcement piece behind the bullet loops and where the holster would normally hang just to make sure that the belt would not fold over.
  15. John - I think I know what you mean, but just to be sure, are you wanting to make: a. Tactical style holster similar to what SWAT teams use that drop from the belt and strap to the thigh? b. A cowboy style drop loop holster?
  16. Several months back I made a holster similar to the split leather money belt that John Wayne wore in many of his later westerns. Inspired by John Bianchi's article on the rig I decided to make one for myself. I posted the pics here and since then my dad has asked me to make one for his Ruger Blackhawk. Well, here it is. My camera went on the fritz so I had to borrow my daughter's camera and hope for the best. Pic didn't turn out too bad but I sure miss the versatility of my Sony DSC-V1.
  17. Ditto on what Lobo and Dirtclod said. Nice, simple, functional. Needs bigger pics of the burnishers. I like the page arrangements, clip art, backgrounds, etc. Looks real nice.
  18. Shorts - do you have pics of the press in action? And maybe a pic of the dies?
  19. First off - welcome aboard! Always glad to see new members on the board. My .02: The design is well done. It has good overall lines, curvy and not blocky. The stitching looks good, as best I can tell. The molding could be a little sharper, maybe done when leather was too wet? The sight track needs to be only from the ejection port to the muzzle, if you run the sight track the complete length of the slide over time that extra gap will get loose and you will lose retention. Overall a good first holster that looks well and is functional. Nice pistol as well. I really like my Para's. Good job.
  20. Thank you, thank you to all who are serving or have served. We owe you an indebtedness that cannot be repaid but only through honorable admiration are we able to show you the gratitude that we have for your sacrifice. May you be blessed every day and especially on this day of memorial to your service.
