  1. It's on it's way. I'm also going to post it here just in case I goofed up the PM attachment to you. Tom celtic_bag_design.pdf celtic_bag_design.pdf
  2. It wasn't the best piece of leather but it will do. Still have some background work to do and decide on the colors for the rest of it but I leaning towards green. LOL. I think the border is kinda bland so I might do something to that also. As for attaching it to the bag, well I still haven't figured that one out yet. I'm sorta doing this one thought/idea at a time. Not thinking too far ahead. Tom
  3. Put a " Caution" warning on the collar, I like the idea. I made a couple for a guy a few months ago and the small one was 24 inchs to the first hole. Big hound. Tom
  4. I've applied a coat of neetsfoot oil and now all I have to do is wait for the sun to come out. It's been raining here all weekend. Bummer, but we needed the rain. Thanks for the help everyone. Tom
  5. I've been using blue painters tape. It works to prevent stretching but can be kind of a booger to get off some times. I think I'll try the packing tape or cement on the work surface only method. Thanks for the help and ideas. Tom
  6. A light to medium tan? Then neetsfoot oil? And how long did you leave it out in the sun? Oh yeah, where did you get that pebblel background tool? Tom
  7. Well I have it done. Now to do the finish and ya only get one shot at it so I'll try a couple of practice runs on scrap first. Hows it look so far. I've noticed in a couple of places I could have cut and back grounded a little deeper. All and all I like it. Tom
  8. Thanks Crystal, I think the little stand is the best part of the whole picture. But being "a little" OCD I'll have to try the pattern again, and again. Tom

I've so many of them that I think now I need to make a leather bird to put them on. Thanks everyone. Tom
  10. I want the finish on this wallet to look like the finish you see on a saddle. That nice golden color but I'm not sure what to use. Ideas please? Tom
  11. I should have put this in the pattern thread but, oh well. Tom

Thanks guys. I keep pounding away. Tom
  13. Well it could be better but it's all I got for now. If you look at the upper right corner you can see where my modeling tool had tarnish or something on it and really messed me up. Oh well, bummer. It happened right at the begaining of the project so I just kinda played with it after that. But I really do like the pattern so I'll have to try it again. Guess I'll just stain it dark and hope that hides it. Tom
  14. Well I think I have something that might be usable. Let me know if this will work. The pocket and hole templates are actual size. Oh yeah, I stitched the pocket straps on when I did the flap. 15. I cant figure out how to get a 28 inch pattern into my scanner but I'm working on it. Tom
  16. The links don't open up for me. Tom
  17. Still trying to make one for the new bank teller. I made them for all the other ones so fair is fair. Here's the latest one. This one aint it. Some how I got spots on it and my sewing sucks. Bummer. Oh well I'll have to try another one. Tom

Heres another one. Not sure how many I have tried so far. I hate to give up on something too soon. I'll just keep trying till I get one that makes me happy. Still have to try and paint it yet. Tom
  19. Well, this is my second try at it. What do you think? Tom
  20. "VERY" Cool. Is that a piece of antler or bone you made the snap/ closer out of. I love that idea. Great work. Of course now I have to try to make that type of closer. Or should I say I will make that and use it on something. Tom
  21. Just got back from the computer store with my new printer/copier/scanner thing. Now all I have to do is figure out how to make it work. When I get it all hooked up I'll try and do a layout of the bag. and post it. Tom I just noticed the holes for the straps on the small pocket could be a little bit lower. Tom
  22. How did you get that color? I like it. I got a color sorta like that by leaving a piece out in the South Carolina sun for about a week but it sorta dried things out to much. Nice job. Tom
  23. My scanner is on the out at the moment But I'll try and figure out a way to post some kind of diagram. I'm not real swift with computers but I'll do my best. Thank you for the compliments everyone. Tom
  24. I liked the design so much I decided to make a laptop bag for my new macbook. Plus I cut the slots for the small straps on the macbook bag and after seeing how they looked in the picture I did the same on the Indy bag. Tom
  25. I like the skull design. I'll be waiting to see more. Please keep posting pics of it. Tom
