I will have to get some photos up a little later but, I have 2 glock 43's I only need one, I also have 3 different 1911 full size mold guns when I only need maybe 2 of them, one with a rail and one with out. What I need is a Glock 26, and a Glock 19, I just haven't taken the time to order these. I also have 1 CZ97b and one CZ 75b I think that is the model of the 2 I think that compact is the one I want to keep, I ordered the 97b by accident when I actually needed the compact so the larger model hasn't been used. the CZ mold guns are true blue guns the 43 and 2 of the full size 1911 are those green ones that guys buy to do Kydex with. Let me know If y'all have any interest in buying or horse trading works either way but prefer to trade so I don't in return have to hunt down the other 2 Glocks. Thanks Ron

That's belly leather probably ok to practice and learn with, some do use it for some things such as belt liner, but most wont use it for a top layer. Being that it is belly it goes through the stretch and restrict action on the cow so now wonder it was moving around when wet molding. Get yourself some inexpensive stuff from tandy and so over or expect to have the movement happen again when wet molding. just sayun

well then, hope to see you still contribute and doun some stuff, make and post some holsters or pdf's:) once in a while but again good on ya, hmm must be married to a dr my mind says to myself

What is or was the top coat? I hope it was only dye on the top, I think most if not everyone dyes the leather then wet mold then when dry apply the top coat of clear, mop and glow or what every you choose to use.

Wow bummer from my point of view any way but good on you, I didn't think you were old enough or maybe you were smart enough to sock away some cash that makes this possible! Again good on you, really hate to see you go, but also hope that you'll still be around to contribute. There must be several that owe you a great deal of thanks, me being one of them!

if I'm not mistaken the second came in the 6.80 box and was still like 13.00 for shipping, I hate to use the word ripoff but where the prices for the scrap is reasonable there diggen in your drawers ta geddit on way or the uther.

Yes I like the Caiman and the elephant, I just glued up and stitched the panel today, fist time ever using it so wasn't sure how it was going to sew it, it was a real bear to cut and match up to the leather. As soon as it is done I will post some photos here after I slip in to my cast iron drawers.

just a report back, I am happy with the items that came in from Maverick but the shipping cost is a real sack buster. Both orders came in small flat rate boxes and were real light wait, in fact I commented during me second order about the cost of shipping and they seemed to have dropped it a little. I have sent belts from where I am to the west coast for less than 8.00 and I have been paying maverick way more than that for something that is like one fourth the wait godda be a better way. You would think that is they have the volume that they do, they could work out a better rate just sayun.

I had run into the same problem that biker had with some leather I was working with so I put in a call to Kevin at SLC, he had 2 suggestions to correct the problem. One was to dilute to 50/50 with the denatured alcohol, due to the mixing at the factory, Fiebing's is know for mixing in very high concentrates. The other was to address the problem with the leather, he indicated that I would need to air brush the leather to help correct the problem, and I have to say he was right on both parts. And this isn't a comment to promote them as I don't work for or represent them.

Ya now they are huffing or puffing crap that you wouldn't even think about getting high on, not to mention all the bad drugs going around. Things certainly haven't gotten any better, if fact they are worse. I commented a while back, and in a different post obviously that you and I are about that the same age, but it is truly sad when we hear about all of the bad stuff going on now that is much worse than it was 40 years ago when we had the hippie movement, but oh well this will just go off center. To bad they didn't send someone out to pick it up.

Thanks all, and really like that holster! have you ever caught yourself leaning over to look at something that isn't 3 dimensional or wont move like a referee in a game on TV? That is what I was doing to look at the edges, then I thought to myself you dumb arse ya kant see it.
