  1. do you recall if the spool was a nylon thread when you ordered, or can you look up what you ordered, I need to get some bonded nylon for my sewing machine in 277 if that is what that is. Thanks O n S Ron
  2. Thank You for the input, and I contemplated starting over, but this would be the third round for that holster now I have some wall hangers to look at. So for this build anyway I will be using them the old fashioned way.
  3. ok thanks for the input and yes I will be using T nuts to secure the straps to the holster.
  4. Thank you I couldn't find the image that had 2 belts so it ended up only being the one. But they were very similar except color.
  5. Oops forgot to say that I haven't installed the straps yet, it is going to be an inside the waistband holster.
  6. with a few problems, but would like a little feedback, I did make this from my own patterns and part of the problem is where it wouldn't take dye right up under the mouth support and I had one heck of time stitching the leather. it has been that it might be a bad spot in the leather as I started to skip a few stitches, that can be seen in the top left, I am going to go back and put a few more stitches in there. but what is the best way to get dye on that one spot, I did use an eraser to remove excess glue but it didn't as you can see work well enough. Thanks in Advance O n S Well both files are under the allowable max and it wont let me, I try it another way.
  7. If it wouldn't be to much to ask I would like a copy of the pattern as well. Thanks O n S
  8. Thanks for the offer however I think I am going to pass on the project, I looked at all of the blue gum makers and didn't find a mold and let the person know that there wasn't one to be found, so he was going to try other sources. I am not sure where he is located and may find a Kydex bender near him that can make it out of his gun.
  9. I have been trying to find a blue gun for Khar Arms cm 40, this model does not show up anywhere. I am wondering if one of the other models will work for this gun? If anyone knows I would appreciate the info about it, I was contacted about making a holster for this model gun but again it does not show up. Thanks in advance for any help on this. O n S
  10. To add to the question above^^^^^^ if you will part them out I would also be interested in some square ones as well your call let me know. thanks O n S
  11. I bought the one from Tandy and have used it the leather but not the thread, and it worked fine. How long did you let it dry before you sewed the belt? I often apply barges to both surfaces and then stick them together but I also let the item set for a couple of days if I can before sewing.
  12. Your asking for 12.00 each there abouts, if decide that you want to brake up the gang and let them going individually I would be interested in the 2 round cutters and maybe a few others. Keep us posted.
  13. Well shucks that brings up a nuther question being that it is a stiffener why would it be skived down? Wouldn't you want to go with the same thickness to chieve the level of stiffness? Sort of scratching my head now making me think and that hurts after a while.
  14. I understand the sheriff up in Riverside is all for issuing permits, and what about the court case about a year ago didn't that make a difference on the issuance of permits in San Diego and being next to the border you would think it would. But I digress, Jeff is it more or less a guess when adding a little bit more leather to get to a flat back, or is it trial and error to get the amounts correct? Thanks
  15. If you decide to part things out please let me know there are a few things I would like to have, don't need it all as I have some of the items. Thanks
  16. ken, you mention thoroughbred they are about a 2.5 hour drive for me and not open on Saturdays so I was wondering if it worth the drive to go there and take a lookasee, are their top leathers better or as good to what Weaver sells that being H O and some import stuff? Thanks in Advance. O n S

    2nd Pool Cue Case

I have been trying to find a nice sneaky pete to play with but there isn't much around where I am at now, we left the south land a little over 3 years ago for the hills of TN, heck these guys out here don't even play on 9 footers they all play on 7 footers and I can at least still see that far. There is a guy here in town that makes cues but I cant get any info on the quality of his work, all the local guys give praise but not sure. I have been wanting to get back in stroke and play a little I figure if I could get back in stroke I could play a little with some of these guys around here. Any way right back and don't mean to jack the thread.

Where are you located? I worked for Bert at the same time that Tim was working for him and then worked for Tim for a short time turning shafts while he was still in his garage. I use to play with him, Frank Almanza, and a lot of the other locals at either at the cue ball in Alhambra, or the golden cue in El Monte. heck I can remember when the golden cue was on Valley Bvd in San Gabriel before Kenny bought it out, I remember watching Joe Balsis do an exhibition there I must have been around 15 16 years old. I meant to have Tim make me a cue for years and never did, I also had a Schrager but sold it years ago, wish I would have kept it and had Timmy make a cue for me they would be worth their weight in gold.

You don't have a Tim Padgett cue in the mix? I know that the Padgett cue are probably hard to find and mostly on the west coast.
  20. Thanks for the update, I will be in touch sometime during the day on Thursday. Ron

I didn't see the interior the first time I looked and ^^^^^^^^^^^^^judgebc is right either it has to be bigger by at least 1 shaft or smaller so that it either holds 2 butts and three or 4 shafts, that way you could carry the brake cue with 2 shafts and the playing cue with 2 shafts. Or the brake cue and 1 shaft and playing cue and 2 shafts. I haven't played in a few years but I also had the side pouch for a towel, and tools, along with an elk head, for the bridge in the event one was needed. But this might be for your own use which changes things a bit.
  22. My guess is that they are swamped with their own business and the day to day running of it along with the task of getting a clear picture of what the truly have. I had a chance to speak with Scott on the phone, and what took place is that they bought a building lock, stock, and barrel. the purchase of the building was for their ongoing business that they run and are very busy with, along with trying to dispense all of the leather, hardware, and odds n ends that went along with the deal. Scott did send me a short note along with a sample of some leather that was included, and I have been trying to contact him as well. The reason for me to try and have a follow up with him is that the leather that they sent out was not an 8-9oz leather, it measured at 5oz and wanted to let him know that and also try and find out if the leather was all that thickness. but I have also been unsuccessful at reaching him. So I guess we all just have to wait and see what they decide to do with everything.
