Anyone have a clue what this part with the ring on it is called? I looked for ring pulls and a bunch came up for use on furniture usage. I need some very small ones, like 1 inch or less. A rectangular ring would be perfect too. Any help is greatly appreciated! -Andy

Left handed here too. Although I seem to be ambidextrous (SP?) on most things, stitch groovers are a chore! I need one with the blade in the middle. Who makes one like that?

Amazing work! I love your coloring and the overall shape of the bag. Just perfect! I also just sent some work I did to Ukraine, a new customer over there. Cool! Cheers, Andy

For sure. I could spend hours browsing Regretsy! So funny!

They look pretty cool. Is it pixelated on purpose? I fear the stickers will print that way if not setup properly. What did you draw it up in? (I'm a graphic designer by trade so I notice these kinds of things) -Andy

These are fantastic! I like the braiding and the knotwork on the leather paired with the knotwork on the beads. Good stuff man! -
Such great pieces! Thanks for sharing. -Andy

Hey Johanna,
Thanks for the "like" on Facebook. I had to delete the page and recreate it though as I messed up my username on it.
Check it out again:

I still have to post some listings. The store is very brand-new so in the meantime I'm directing people to my Deviant Art gallery. Stay tuned! -Andy

Messenger Bag
AndyL1 replied to AndyL1's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
I think what you're describing is basically a soft panel sewn to the inside of the back panel right? This way the stitching for the divider is hidden from view by the back outside pocket. That's a good idea. I may go a step further and sew some small pockets onto the divider as well. Post some photos? Good tips! Cheers, Andy -
Thanks Ray! I never even looked into selling on eBay as I've only heard bad news. Etsy seems more suited for selling crafts and art because...well... that's what the site was built for. The listing and sale fees are very small: 20 US cents for a four month listing and a 3.5% take on sales. Very reasonable in my book. I will use Etsy for a while until I build my own site, but once that is up I may keep the Etsy shop up as another way to advertise, I mean considering how low the cost is. -Andy

Holy Crap that's a lot of work! Those look very cool too! Will they be dyed a color or kept fleshy? -Andy

I bought one of these http://www.harborfre...haft-43533.html It has a variable speed to it. I have a friend who is into wood-turning and made a burnisher for me. We mounted it to a plate with a nut welded to it. This in turn just screws onto the shaft of the grinder's motor. -Andy P.S. I bet you could find some sort of foot pedal speed reducer and make it work with a bench grinder. I can't imagine it would be that hard.

Hey All, So I though it was about time to get something going on this hobby of mine. I created a shop on Etsy and I just wanted to share. I'm still setting things up like Profile Info (it's hard to write about yourself!) and some listings... but at least I have the Banner done! Check it out: My Etsy Feedback appreciated. Cheers, Andy

I second that! I thought they were some rather unique conchos at first look. Killer job man! -Andy -
OK Gotcha. I'm sure it's a lot easier/better than using your hand. I learn something new everyday! -A

Healing Hand-Bag
AndyL1 replied to AndyL1's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Thanks a lot! It's made from Tandy's Stoned Oil Side. This leather is amazing... I love the feel of it and the texture it gets from handling. It picks up nice marks and scratches that fade out when rubbed. Cool stuff. -Andy -
Just like it says, I made this little bag up really quick without a lot of detail involved. I wanted it to look rough to kind of match the way the leather looks. It's a little present for a friend of mine who is graduating nursing school, so I thought a Healing Hand design would be quite fitting on the front. This one is 8" x 10" x 2.5" and a trick braid strap. Hope you all like it! -Andy

Messenger Bag
AndyL1 replied to AndyL1's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Hey all, It was asked what the inside looked like on this bag, so I finally got around to taking a photo of it. It has a hanging pocket large enough for a wallet, phone, keys, whatever. The lady I made this bag for also wanted a decoration added to the front like a bag I had done before but not tooled into it, but stitched on like my first one. So I obliged... I'm not sure if I like it this way as much as it being plain... but it still looks pretty cool! Cheers, Andy -
Hey Forum Masters, I'm not sure where to ask this but is there a setting for receiving a notification when someone comments on a photo in our gallery? I just uploaded some new pics and noticed I had some nice comments on other photos from a few months ago. I kind of felt bad replying to them after so long. Just wondering, Andy P.S. I did browse around the settings but found no option for this. Maybe something that could be an added feature?
