Thanks to all, triumph America tool bag
wolvenstien replied to Pip's topic in Motorcycles and Biker Gear
Pip, glad it worked out for you and your friend. -
Ken, thank you for the walk through, but I am stumped. I can see this working nicly for two pieces that are butted up next to each other but I cant see this in my minds eye as working for the outer edge on this pad. with it having a front and rear panel and a gusset that goes all around. The gusset is at 90 degrees to the front and rear panel - not laying flat with them. You know it... and since they arent comming out with any new Maggies any time soon, I will be riding her for a good long time to come. Yes David, that is the seat that inspired me to do mine with a simple basketweave.

Did you make a wooden block to stretch it over? That would be an alternitive for me with my pad I am screwing up....
-
Roger, How did you do the sissy bar pad? You didnt happen to take pix while you were making it did you?
-
Looks nice, i bet it took a good while to make it....

Have a happy one....

Gremlin, doing a google for "mexican edge braid" only gives me a broken link to leatherworker, and to a post by a gremlin here: http://jockeyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16056 The pic of the seat shows what appears to be mexican basketweave as I know it, which is the same as what I used above on the sissy pad cover. Is this what you were referring to?

I could not get anyone to hlp me with any type of design, and I saw either David or Beezes seat that was "elegantly simple" with basket weave tooling on the upper and lower of the seating area, and it looked nice, so since I could not get any help getting a scene that would bring all four pieces together, when I saw his seat I decided to go with something like that. It was posted on the 2007 board, and I dotn remember whose seat it was but I refered to it as "elegantly simple". David, no I did not take this into account, and thank you for giving me the formula to figure it by... maybe now when i restart on it tomorrow I will get it to work.

well... what I thought of was from what you mentioned about how Beeze does the X lacing... but I screded it up too.... Back to the drawing board....

Front page is way out of date these days.... but the program that took its place is good: Microsoft Expressions. Also Macromedia has a program called Dreamweaver. Both are good, I prefer Dreamweaver.

Good advise.... this is very true... could be an act of deception... they have a camera on their phone and take pix of everything before they toss it expecting it to be found and you think that all is ok....

Bro, you have my sympathy especially after they hit me last November.... You might want to see about investing in a camera that mounts hidden like around the area you park your cars... set it up on a digital system so it only records when there is motion. I have two camera set up now. If anything happens in the future... I have their thieving asses on video. I would love to catch one in the neighborhood....

New On Duty Holster
wolvenstien replied to Randyc's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Looking at it, looks like it would sit on my right side and sit forward instead of on my left it would sit back.... Other than that... Looks good. I dont really know much about holsters, never used one really. Most important thing is it feeling comfortable to you and you being able to remove the tool from it with ease. -
Here ya go Steve, I resized it for you, save it to your computer, go to your area and upload it as your avitar. Ok, they changed the settings from last go round from 125x125 to 90x90.... let me do this again, for you....

I hate doing stuff twice too.... the pan is stainless steel, and I have nothing to cut it down and getting a smaller bike is out of the question... I think I have an idea that Beave gave me without giving me.... I will work on it today and see if it works out some....
-
Beave, you confused me, but I think I got you now... you are talking about the lacing in the saddle tan pic? Thats just a scrap piece that I used to practice round braiding the corners on... thats actually two different types of lace you are looking at. I will crop those pix and reupload them so no one else gets that confused. The basketweave I did on the grips is fully cut from end to end on the veg tan and the 1 1/2 foot smooth calf lace was laced in in sections. I used about 4 pieces of 18 inch lace to do the basketweave on the grip.

Cellphone case
wolvenstien replied to Rawhide's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
You have a point about the front LCDs... bought my wife a RAZR and the damn glass (believe it or not... real glass) has been broken three times... the last time I said screw it.... Nice case... I cant believe a framer (carpenter) wanted a masons symbol on it.... isnt that like giving your dog catnip? -
I am kind of scares about wet stretching it over the pan and cushion... scared it will warp and screw up the tooling.... Are these possible results of doing that? Where do you get spray silicone?
-
Thats it bro! Thanks very very much! Seeing as this is your first post, let me welcome you to the board too...
