My boy, Donnie Geovonnie, is a good boy.... He was about 4 when we got him. I answered a posted ad at the local pet store. Someone was looking for homes for Jacks. I called and set up a meet with her. We met at the same pet store and i took Donnie for a walk around the store, he was nervous and peed on the floor in there twice.... We talked to the lady and she told me that she had had Donnie since he was a pup, and he was shown in a few Jack shows. He has since been cut, so she could no longer show him since the Jack Russel Society "does not recognize a cut male as a Jack any longer". They were having financial issues and needed to find homes for all their dogs. I took him home and intended on making him into a truck dog. Over the next year, I came to fully believe that Donnie had been massively abused. By both a man and child. He did great in my truck riding with me at work. Though he was a sissy... LOL. I was parked on a small one lane dirt road in a trailer park at a telephone pole, I was up the pole and a truck pulls up to my van... guy gets out and I holler down to him that I will be down in a minute to move my truck, he yells up to me that he will move it for me.... (Damn)... and goes to open the door, and Donnie starts barking... and the guy opens the door... Donnie jumps out and takes off into a field.... LOL... big bad guard dog... Ended up, because of the tone of my voice and certain other noises, he would release his bladder all the time in the house, so i had to make him an outside dog... I bring him in at night and he sleeps in the garage... But I could not have him peeing all over the place for no real reason.... I have worked on him over the years and he is much better, but he still does not trust me completely and every now and then he will still pee when I say something in a certain tone.... I have had him to a trainer and the trainer asked me, after seeing him for 5 minutes, if I beat him.... I told him how I got him and asked if there was anything he could do to help Donnie, he said no, the dog was too far gone. It would take years and alot of money to make any real progress. We have come to believe that Donnie was probably a puppy mill stud, and was either rescued or we got him from the Mill people.... Weirdest thing about him... he has a deep scar/depression/hole in the middle of his tongue. Ho clue if it was burnt, or whatever.... Here is a pic of him....

Hugs to your mom.... Do your best to keep positive and to help her stay positive too.... Do you have a cell phone...? Make a case... Camera? make a case... drink soft drinks from a can? make a koozie... You are doing animal science.... carve your favorite living animal.... then your favorite extinct animal.... just look around your house... you can find all kinds of things... got a pet... make a collar for it.... got a girlfriend/wife/other make a collar for them... make yourself a belt.... I liked using Tandy kits to help me learn on.... I think the very first kit I did was a wallet then a check book cover... then i did a clutch purse for my wife.... You wear a watch? make a new watch band... it is limitless and full of possibilities.... Be well

Thanks, I didnt do any bags, those are production bags, but I did the bib... reason it is so big is last winter I had her in the garage, and a 6 foot ladder fell... the very tip of the top corner hit the tank and put a decent noticeable dent into it...

when i cannibalized the old case, I ripped it apart and then drilled the two vivets out of the old case, then i riveted it into the new leather....

thats my next purchase.... and you make a point of it being confusing a bit....

Mike... you also have the option of DirectWay (DirecTv internet) and DishInternet (Dish Network). Verison also has a wirless internet card.... thing with the cards are you cant have more than one computer or service connected to it.... in order to have internet phone (VOIP) you need to have the service come in and connect to a router, then from the router to your computer, VOIP device, etc. I have never connected satellite, not wireless cards, only DSL and Cable Broadband.... the DSL is normally around 512k here local, and the cable is about 8-10meg down and 4-5 meg up.... My father in law just had dish network internet installed, he is happy with it. I have connected at his house through wireless on my laptop and it connected ok... but not like what i was used to here at home... If there is any way to get an IN HOME DEMO of the wireless card... do it...

Took right at an hour.... I didnt do anything with the edges other than round them and did nothing with the inside.... I took two packs of cards and a piece of paper and folded it over and marked out how I wanted it, found a peice of scrap that was large enough to cut it from and did it.... the only thing that took any time with it was cutting the suit symbols into it... and beveling them... all in one dye and finish...well... looking at that pic.. I guess I used edge coat on it too.... didnt remember doing that...

As most of you know i have been toying with different ideas for my bike.... still working on my seat which is a different story.... I wanted to do some sort of major braiding on my bike... but wanted to start simple since I know jack about braiding.... Sitting here looking at my bike trying to figure out what I wanted to do, in conjunction with the Kevin King post he made showing the leather wrapped foot pegs... I decided I wanted to try braiding my hand grips. I got the Braiding Leather book and tried a few of the methods in it, but ended up going with the more simpler method shown in the pix below. I kind of like the natural color of the veg tan with the black.... but I would like input from you all as to what you think with the color of the bike... when i do my seat, i will go off this input for the colors too and make all the leather match. I did this with the veg tan wet and I know, I need to redo it with the lace tighter and closer to the other but I want to show this now before I redo it to see what you think.... I dont want to re do it if you all shoot it down... LOL

Dog got ahold of my OEM case.... so I had to make me a new one... I like it... lining up the magnets for the clasp was not fun... I had to cut the inside lining to reposition the magnet but the glue covered it up fairly well I think.... I got to thinking that i didnt get anything for my adopted uncle. So i sat down about an hour before we were supposed to leave to go to the in laws for christmas to make a playing card case for my uncle. Good thing I did, because he showed up at the house right before we were leaving to drop off a gift for my son...
