It is the same result if I hold the top thread to the back , side, or not hold it at all yes the top and bottom thread are the same size i m in the middle of a project and have been using the same needle thread combo all day with no problems at all the trouble started when I back stitched then forced the needle when it hit a knot or a thread image of tight stitch image of stitch line that is affected

I forced the needle to go down sewed Approx 6” the machine was not acting right, I found a rats nest along the stitch line so I checked bobbin timing and tension after threading the machine it will pick up the bobbin thread, but look at this video this is what it is doing when I sew I am concerned that I broke/ bent something when I forced the wheel to turn IMG_4934.MOV

Yes Ms klara you are 100% correct if you are using pre died leather that is pre cut and burnished I guess I a just an old fart ‘cause burnishing by hand (most events do not have power) would gobble up that 10 minutes. I have modified my press on one end of the presser ram I pressed a 1/4” rod coupling into the hole then machined the protruding end of the coupling to fit the lg stamps. See image on the other end, drilled a hole to slip the bits from a hand punch into see image the anvil that came with the arbor fits into the rod coupling, I use it when pressing large stamps, at this time I can use a 6” stamp

When I cut the pocket off the old purse i take care to leave the stitches in the holes. Zoom the above purse. I left the tan stitches and restitched with red giving it a contrast or something. I do not know everything it just looks good to me the cut stitches are held in place by using liquid electrical tape

say you have an old purse with 2 outside pockets. Remove the pockets and sew them together. Leave the top open add a magnet for a closure and a strap young ladies like the itty bitty purse

Have thought about this a lot.
