  1. We don't use the post because it adds too much tension to the top thread. We haven't used it in 8 years. It works fine without it. We make sure that when we thread the machine, we go through the first thread guide then through the tension discs and back to the thread guide, this will insure that the thread will not jump out of the tension. This is how we do it but other methods would be fine also.
  2. Hello everyone. After 9 surgeries in the last 16 months, I'm back. Sorry it took so long. The COBRA Class 26 is a very smooth and a user friendly machine. It is the most versatile machine in it's class. Wiz posted most of the specs. Call us for more info if you would like.
  3. If you call and ask for Vince, he can help you. He is very good with Skivers and helping over the phone. Give him a try.
  4. Hello LTL. Keep the 111W155 for upholstery/leather and sell the 66 or the 500A since they are similar machines. They are both home machines.
  5. If you are in Europe, contact our dealer in France: contact@logisdecordes.com You will not be disappointed. Thank you.
  6. Hello HBARK. Please go to our website. You will see all of our products.
  7. You can get all of the major parts for the Juki 563. The 145, 211, and the 67GK are great machines though.
  8. We use a ball bearing driven speed reducer on all of our equipment along with a full brushless digital servo motor, meaning that there is NO mechanical brake that will wear out and need to replace. With our system, when you take your foot off of the pedal the current stops and so does the motor. I have never liked servo motors with the mechanical brake because it costs extra money to replace and repair. We try to keep it as simple as possible for the customer.
  9. I agree with Colt. Get the maximum from the start. Contact all of the advertisers on this site and gather up all of the info so you can make an educated decision.
  10. Alex, I agree with Glenn. It seems that the top tension is the problem. Try tightening the top tension a half turn at a time and test.
  11. Gregg, but the 400W was one of the smoothest running machines around, at the time because of the rotary take up and the ball bearing hand wheel.
  12. You are exactly right Wiz. Marie, we also have the machine that you need.
  13. Thanks Bob and Squilchuck! By the way, quite a day in San Bernardino on Wednesday. 5 miles from my house........too close to home!
  14. We sew with thread sizes 69-415 on all Cobra Class 4 machines, yes you will need to change the needle to a size 20 and adjust tensions, but it will do it. By the way, I am back from my 3 surgeries in 10 weeks and I'm as good as new!
  15. It may be a single needle with no reverse, sometimes they do that.
  16. Hello all. I am back at work today, 5 days after my Hernia surgery and 2 weeks after my shoulder surgery. Guess my wife couldn't handle me anymore! No comment!
  17. Thanks Troy, and you also Bob! How about leg wrestle! See you in Texas.
  18. You may have to find a custom attachment maker. Some industrial sewing machine stores have an attachment maker. You may also try Atlanta, New York or Tennessee attachments.
  19. Hello JC, when adding binding material you are adding extra thickness to whatever you are sewing. You may have to go to a #23 needle. If the machine works fine on regular sewing, but not when using the binder, then check the binder thoroughly when mounting it on your machine.
