  1. Gregg is right. Adler used the same take up lever for both the single needle and double needle machines. Steve

  4. Hey all. I have some very important news regarding hand crank splitters. Call me at 1-866-962-9880. Steve
  5. Hi guys. I have seen this machine with 3 heads/motors/treaddles on the same table all designed to do different applications in the shoe industry. I have not seen one for at least 15 years though. Good stuff Darren! Steve

  9. By the way, it does show the timing adjustments on the DVD that I made, when I worked for Artisan. Thanks, Steve
  10. Hi RawhideLeather. To you and to anyone else who is having a problem with an Artisan, or any other machine, please call me at 1-866-962-9880 and I will do my best to help in any way. We are all in this together and would be more than willing to help you. Thanks, Steve
  11. Hello BADGCustomS. Good news! You're next! Your machine is shipping on Friday. Thanks, Steve
  12. Hello 22B. The Juki dnu-241 is the same as a Nakajima 280L. It is about 30 years old, (maybe more). It could be the feed dog is worn, or off centered. It could also be the feed timing. Have a good mechanic look at it and he should be able to correct this problem. The parts are available for this machine, if needed. Thanks, Steve
  13. Hello everyone. I would like to take this opportunity to announce that David Spiegel is now working with Leather Machine Company Inc. As you know, David was formally employed by Artisan, but because of what has transpired at Artisan in the last 6 months, he has joined forces with us. This is great for Leather Machine Co., Inc. as well as for the leather industry. David brings experience, credibility, and the overall knowledge that we have needed to help Leather Machine Co., Inc. grow. Now that David is here, he will be able to respond to posts, receive phone calls, and be available for customer service questions regarding Artisan, and/or Cobra machinery. We welcome this addition. Steve
  14. Snow Shovel!?!? Ever thought about USRay? Southern California is waiting for you! Steve
  15. Happy Birthday to all of us wonderful Libra's born on October 17th!
  16. Hey all, yes I will be there with (as Art says), a big surprise. I will be right in front where Artisan used to be. By the way, has anyone seen any Artisan banner ads lately? Steve
  17. Hi superluckycat. Ferg is right about the Pfaff machines, although the Consew is a very good machine as well. In this case, I would choose the Pfaff. Tell him to put the servo motor on it and see what he says. If he wants to sell it bad enough, he will do it. Thanks, Steve
  18. Hi sandyt. As Bob said, this machine is a chainstitch machine. You want a lockstitch, not this machine. A chainstitch machine is used on the top of dog food, or sugar, or other types of bags (and some garments, however this would be 2 thread chainstitch), where you can pull on the thread and it will come un-done. A lockstitch machine has a needle thread and a bobbin thread. Thanks, Steve
  19. Hello to you all. I would like to tell you about some of the pitfalls in my type of business. I am not ashamed to tell you that I have made a mistake. I am human and I will make more, but not this one. When I place an order with my factory in Shanghai, it takes about 30 days to manufacture the machines. I normally order 40-50 COBRA Class 4's. It then takes about 2 weeks to get here, and another 3-5 days in customs before they get to my warehouse. We then spend 6-8 hours on each machine to make sure that when it ships to the customer, it won't come back to us for a silly problem. In May, I placed an order for 50 Class 4's. We then went to the Sheridan Leather show at the end of May. We sold 22 Class 4's at the show. When I returned, I ordered an additional 50 machines thinking that I will now have 100, and when someone orders one, I will have it in stock. Here is where the problem occured. I did not take into consideration (my fault), that it will now take an additional 30 days to produce the product. Instead of the customer waiting approximately 6 weeks, it is now 10. This is a mistake that I made, and I only made it once. It will not happen again. I now only order 50 at a time. I apologize to everyone that this oversite affected. Thank you for your continued support, and hopefully your understanding. Steve
  20. Looks like I'm joining the army!!
