  1. Nice work on the thread winder. It looks industrial for sure!
  2. Good silver solder has a lot of good uses. Expensive as heck. But a good supply to have around. Make sure to get flux too when you get silver solder. A lot of times for me the flux is the key to good solder job.
  3. Toxo can I ask, does a magnet stick to your feed dog? High percentage silver solder will adhere to most metals. If a magnet don't stick it is probably stainless & will require a good flux for stainless & a high percentage silver solder. Thanks.
  4. On my class 441 machine I bought narrow feed dogs & needle throat plates for it, because of this problem. I do not know if they are offered for the class 341 machines. The narrow feed dog & throat plate fixed/solved a lot of my problems I was having. I'm sure you can modify them to your needs if careful.
  5. I have a friend who has a Rottweiler & it is a Big dog. She walks it everyday. I made a dog collar for her, out of a single layer of 10-12oz veg-tan. Over a years time, that collar stretched a bunch. Like way worse than I thought it would. IDK maybe it was a bad side of leather I got or what. I made a new collar for her, out of 2 layers of 8-9oz veg-tan & put velodon no stretch fabric in between the 2 layers & sewn it with 346 thread. It has not stretched any in over a year now.
  6. Nice work. They look great!
  7. Thanks. I thought it might have been 1 of his patterns too, but i was unsure.
  8. Nice work. It looks great! Is that by chance a Tandy pattern? Thanks.

  10. Nice work. That sheath looks great! Fancy!!
  11. Click on the 3 bars in the upper right hand corner of your screen. Then click on the Lil envelope icon.
  12. Ok you might have to use a different brand. But here is Giardini metallic edge paint. There is also the alpha 6 brand that can be bought in metallic. There is also Angelus brand leather paint in metallic.
  13. Look into Vernis edge paint. With the hundreds of colors they got, you should be able to mix any color you want. It will just come down to what colors are needed mixed to get the color result you are looking for.
  14. I think a 6-7oz with a 3-4oz liner is pretty common for the leather. It should hold its shape nice with that thickness. I think in that 9-11oz is about right. But maybe I am totally wrong. I make mostly 6 shooter holsters, so I am not saying with confidence to keep going. I also would think if you thought it was going to be too tight/small you can add thickness to the welt. There is some awesome holster makers on the forum, so they should be able to give you more insight.
  15. Look up: How to replace a leather inlay. It will give some good ideas & techniques. The other thing you can look up: How to replace leather lining on a wooden trunk.
  16. Lol when ya wanna come over. I could use a schooling. Nice thing you did, you will be rewarded for it.
  17. Ok I will give a shot at this. Tools I would want. Leather edger. Skiving knife. Stitching groover. Burnishing tool for burnished edges. Stitching awl or Stitching chisels. Leather knife or razor knife. Rotating hole punch. Lmao I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch of stuff. What Juki clone do you got? Thanks.
  18. I was going to recommend Cordura. I just put a order in thru Sailrite. What is nice about Cordura is, when it is cut to size, you don't have to worry about it fraying & feathering. Many different thicknesses & colors available to.
  19. Ok thanks. May I ask who you purchase them thru or who supply's them? Thanks.
  20. Looks great. Nice work. Is the metal piece on the back of the holster, some sort of stiffner? Or a thumb break spring? Thanks.
  21. I bet some padded cheek pieces would be a seller too. For these guys that shoot the BIG magnum calibers.
  22. Nice work. It looks great.
  23. I make whatever the customer orders. All my stuff I sew with bonded polyester thread that is outdoor related. I use 138 bonded poly & 346 bonded poly in black or white.
  24. Nice work. I think it looks great. Like your color combo too. What color is the inside of the cover dyed? Is that the walnut pro dye as well. Or just the tan kote? Thanks.
  25. Nice! Great design on that sheath. Much nicer & classier than the nylon or cordura sheath it sold with.
