Looks good! Better than I could do. Lol I would need a tracing pattern.
Are them letters swivel knife cut & then beveled? If so I would say they look fairly good to for just picking up the tools.
Well a project like this speaks from the heart & should win her over! Or at least make her lean towards him more.
Congrats on the great work.
Thanks TonyV I appreciate it & I agree the wallet would look better with the top corners radiused.
Yeah I'm 1 also that cant leave nothing alone. Lol got to massage it here & there to kinda make it my own.
Thanks.
Guys & gals this is a couple pictures of a tandy wallet. Dont yell to bad at me for that.
Is there any reasons why the top corners could not have been radiused? I think this tri-fold would look a lot professional if it was.
Also do you see any reasons why they could not of sewn across the top of the wallet to have a complete perimeter of stitching.
Yes the top outer stitch line would need to be stitched 1st before assembling the wallet.
What's your guys & gals thoughts on this.
Thanks. Any & all help will be appreciated.
To me it looks like there is 2 types of lacing techniques. 1 of them kinda looks like the double loop lace technique. But the other lace pattern throws me off.
The double loop lace techniques is 1 of my favorite. It makes almost a braided rope effect around the perimeter of the piece along the edges.
Like others have mentioned snap & unsnap them numerous times & see if they loosen up.
You could also try a different brand of line 20 snaps & see if they are any better or worse.
@bruce johnson do you by chance got any pictures of that lattice/vertical lined beveler procedure you do? Or got a place I can go look?
Also who or what brand of vertical lined bevelers do I need to buy to accomplish this stamping/tooling procedure on the lattice basket weave?
Thanks I appreciate your knowledge & help.
Thanks for the info. Yeah that piece of leather I tooled was too wet when I stamped it.
So you say you take a vertical lined beveler & stamps the lined portion of the Barry King stamp to give it more depth & dimension.
Thanks. I will need to get them style of beveler stamps. As I got the checkered ones.
Thanks I thought that name looked familiar. Yeah he makes some nice stamps. I think he makes the chain link stamp I like as well.
Yeah I been looking at some of his stamps, he makes some nice stamps.
I think for me to get them stamps here to Kansas, they basically double in price.
He makes the dragon scale stamp I would like to have.
Thanks for the info & link.
Yes the Barry King Lattice stamp, Will get you turned & flip upside down & around. Lmao I was struggling this morning with it.
Great looking stamp thou.
Looks great! Nice work on the holster.
I think the oil will fade with time, & the holster will eventually darken to the same color over time/use.
Nice!!!
