special order, two knives and sheaths that say Wyoming. If rattler and elk doesn't say Wyoming i dont know what does. lol

All hand made the sheaths are rattlesnake, Bison brown dye. Man its hard to photo shiny blades lol.

I like em.  Recently got some reptile skins, but need to soften them, they are stiff and hard.  Bought some conditioner.  When I finish the project on the bench....

thank you my reptiles are locally sourced lol, and delicious too btw.

They look very nice, but I particularly love the handles and bolsters. They should age nicely with use.:specool:

Thanks i am very partial to elk antler it feels so nice in the hand.

Chuck, it is good to see some of your blades again. It does not get any better than those two , all I can say is perfect! I finally did my first inlaid (ostrich), pancake sheath. I will have to do more, it was fun. Thanks for the pics.

... and that's one reason (one of many) why I love Wyoming.

The rattlesnake inserts are really sweet. And the knives look fantastic.

Thank you i have some more blades to finish up too. I like doing inlays but they take some thinking sometimes.

Nice work all around.

I just removed a rattler from my son's back yard. I use one of those 'extended reach' grabbers and a pillowcase. Then I transport them out away from the house and send them on their way.

Very, very nice Chuck.  Tried rattlesnake in south Texas many years ago. I'd still rather fry crappie!

Not so retired RN. Living on the Washington Peninsula.

thank you. yea i only take what i need from the wild I don't kill stuff just for fun or to line my wallet but if they are in town i make sure they don't hit a kid or dog then i use them.

And thats the reason I strayed away from leatherwork like that. And the knives

.Guess your a blacksmith also. Well tanning is an art in it self.
