Finally after roughly a month of hospital duty I managed to finish up this project. A small neck knife 1095 steel 1 3/4" blade and a cute lil compass. I had just finished the tooling when i was called away, it sat on my table for weeks until I could get back in town, Bison brown dye 6/7 oz leather.  Leather and knives are going to take a back seat this summer.

Nice work Chuck, knife looks good, stamping looks great, and I like that keeper strap. That knife would make a nice patch cutter.

thanks, yes it would make an awesome patch knife. I like these small blades for basic chores in the woods they come in handy on occasion.

Awww, what a little cutie!:)

Patch cutter - when loading a black powder muzzle-loading rifle a cloth patch is placed over the barrel, the round ball is put on top and pushed/tapped down to just below the end of the barrel and the excess cloth is cut off before the ball is rammed down the barrel.
