A very quick search on google (not hard to do ) immediately shows it is a high speed single foot garment machine.

Hey Rodney! I have never been a bareback rider but have contributed to a few pots, though. I really don't think that your riggin' would be a good place to skimp or DIY. I think it would be a cool project. I really wish you the best! JM2C, Jim

Thank you, just really Bored. That is interesting, in Ontario, Canada only the pit bulls are banned. It could have been much worst. Glad it was me rather then some child. kgg

Hi guys, time for me to weigh in. I just closed my shop at Webb Road Flea Market in Salisbury North Carolina. If you are thinking of selling your handmade leather items at the flea market, you must sell other items as well, many folks have the Walmartians disease's, where everything yis less than the worth of your time. I sold motorcycle leather and motorcycle accessories. The belts were just ok but not enough to make a living or pay rent. Cases and other items are not good sellers when china is selling their items way cheaper. do yourself a favor - sell items anywhere other than the flea market

Wow. Thankfully you weren't alone when it happened!

Sorry to hear of this attack I hope you are resting and recovering Bulldogs of certain breeds and XL Bulldogs are banned throughout the UK and Ireland because of such attacks and the killings they made

I know I'm happy with the english system so I won't be converting to the metric system

On most of those items we are the opposite! eg. Height, person, now in centimetres. Weight; person, Kilogrammes, Food; pre-packed = grams, or loose at a grocer = imperial, Distance, miles. Most fluids are sold by the litre but you still get a pint in the pub

As previously mentioned, it is not a walking foot machine. Some of the best known Singer walking foot machines are the slower speed 111w155 and 156 (w/ large balance wheel pulley), as well as the higher speed 211w155 and 156 (w/ small pulley). There are also some older Singer walking foot machines that have whaat's known as a spring foot. These have a foot that simply follows the material as the feed dog pulls it back. They only had bottom feed. A proper walking foot machine has at least dual, if not triple feed.

I have a Singer 211U166A that I got for free, including table, servo motor, bobbins, and needles. I'm completely new to sewing, and the machine was not working when I got it. Fortunately, a local repair guy got it going, and I was able to sew several things with it--not leather, but some very thick, heavy, multiple layers of cloth (mostly, sailing-related). Yesterday, the bobbin got jammed, and my foot slipped, no doubt putting a lot of pressure on the drive, which resulted in a clunking noise, and a screw that connects to the reverse lever even fell off. I was able to replace the screw, but now the walking foot seems to not be walking. Specifically, the middle part of the walking foot stays pressed down on the fabric the entire cycle, and hence the cloth does not feed. I have posted a short video here: Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Rodney, I sure don't know of any off the rack patterns for modern riggings. I can only think of three rigging makers now and I don't think there is anybody wants to sell their patterns there either.

A Singer 45K might do the trick for you, and be available within your budget. https://leatherworker.net/forum/topic/85098-singer-45k-89-experiences/ Good luck, brgds Jonas -
Fred, Canada officially switched to metric in the late 1960's but I think from what you said above, we're like the U.K. The transition was never 100% This chart explains it quite well!

We own a dog boarding kennel and a had an unprovoked dog attack two days ago. The dog was an English Bulldog and weighted about 60 lbs. It took three of us to get the bugger off my right leg calf. The tear in the zipper area was the first attempted kill shot and when that didn't work decided my calf muscle was a better choice to take me down. The blood on the leg of the other pant leg is from the spurting wound on the right leg before we could get the belt on the leg. This is how my pants, right boot and the 13 oz chrome tan belt, I made about a year ago, now look. The belt became a impoverished tourniquet to get me to the hospital. I will not post photo's of the injuries but the belt came through unscathed and just needs to be cleaned. Be careful out there.

As mentioned in a couple posts above, pig skin is great for liners and pockets too. It is tough and durable. If you are making lots of card slots that overlap, any leather starts to get thick, so as above, fabric works well too, though not as durable as leathers. I have used coated polyester. It lasts between 5 and 10 years when carried in your back pocket every day.

Ive been searching for a place where I can use a clicker/leather press at a rent/ hire rate. I currently use dies for cutting leather and rubber soles (for sandals). The leather is 8-10oz and the rubber is usually 7guage or roughly 1/4” thick. Where can I do this? I am looking for a place located anywhere in the US.

Its a shame that Michigan is such a long way from Denmark. Someone just made a heckuvadeal as far as I can see. Glad to learn that the collection went to a good family.

Do which? They can reply to posts just like you and I have done here. Or you and they can communicate using the "Message" App built into this site. Go to the top right corner of the window and you will see Click on the envelope icon and follow the screen prompts to create a new message, or to open a message from someone else. Hope this answers your question.

Your first sentence was helpful. Thank you. I was trying to post a new thread and didn’t realize I was commenting on an existing thread.

Can we get pictures of the belts? I've never made a belt myself. I'm guessing you stitch through four layers total to attach the buckle. -
@nejcek74 I think the needle bar clamp question is for you ^^

Thank you all who responded. I had suspected that I might have been rushing the turn. I'm actually aware that the needle needs to be partially on the upstroke but this reminds me to make sure before I make that turn. Sometimes I can excel very complicated things only to be tripped up by the simple stuff. I will make a deliberate point to pay better attention.
