My sister brought me an old stool she found at Good Will, so I gutted the top and just kept the stand. Feedback.....good or bad...is welcome. Thanks, Avery

I have contoured chairs that I'm recovering. I'd like to use leather and avoid sewing, thus the leather piece needs to be a single panel. I've used goatskin (pictured) and it worked ok due to its pliability, but I'm concerned about its durability since it is fairly thin. Any suggestions for leather options that would provide me with the same pliability with a bit more durability? David

Okay Seamsters and Seamstresses, Please go easy on me - this is the back bench a late 60's Plymouth Fury I have just reupholstered. I'm including a "Before" shot of the front seats, plus an "After" shot of the back seat. Sorry, I didn't have before and afters of both, but it's a complete set and finished!!!! Not real leather, but hey... there will be real leather jobs to come!

It was a good project for me to gain confidence with my Cobra 26 sewing machine. I’ve been a big chicken about using it for a project.

Here are two stools I did this week. Both covered in the same leather. The tall one is stitched with maroon thread. The short one is stitched with red thread and was painted a custom metallic pearl red to match a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

My 211 was having very little pleasure. 2 bent needles, but the 4 of them are sewn. need a finishing bench for those edges.... Since showing off is the key, lets see some pics! thanks for the help with the skiver, leatherworker.net

Some camping stools I did for my nieces and nephew Christmas gifts. Modeled after Christopher Schwartz’ campaign stool.
