Hey all, I am working on a project that involves creating helpful online pieces about leathercraft and looking for someone that is US-based that would be interested in writing for it. The paid pieces are on varying topics I can provide as we go. Writing experience isn't a huge factor, moreso having a genuine interest in the craft and an honest desire to share that interest in helping others. Let me know if you'd like to chat, we can explore the idea more. Also if you know of someone that might be interested, please put us in touch.

I hope this is in the right spot. Couldn't see the subject anywhere else. Attending regular markets is a great way to get yourself known and to sell your products, as I have done for the past 17 years. Its also great for those that are just starting out, its an alternative to selling on-line. Some may even combine the two concepts and do both. But I soon learnt from my mistakes, what works , and what doesn't , and it does take a while to learn which ones are viable . There was no such thing as social media , so lot of my time was trial & error...and asking a lot of questions. In the early days starting out, I made a rookie mistake, I bought a chea…

Hey all, I'm looking for suggestions/leads on sources for the following work: -Logo touch up: I like the logo I have developed, but I'd like to have someone with an eye for marketing/industrial design find a way to incorporate my business name into the logo, develop a nicer color scheme, and incorporate a nicer border than the square that I have. -Business card design: Looking to get something original designed, so people aren't throwing away generic black/white cards that just have my logo and plain text. -Website design: This one will be in the near future, but I'd like to have someone design a simple sales site for me. Doesn't have to be complex, but when I try t…

Hi, was hoping to get some ideas. I am looking for a more concise job title, but find it to be very long winded. What I do... I do freelance, mostly leather but other heavy duty materials, industrial and hand sewing, for private companies and individuals. some of the projects I do... leather wine racks, cushions, pillows, bags, leather wrapped hardware, some repairs) I am looking to not limit the title to all leather, and also explain that I am only skilled in sewing heavy duty materials (sewing seems to denote seamstress to a lot of people and my machine would chew through anything delicate)

A few months back, I gave a photographer friend of mine my entire stock of holsters to do some nice photos. He did, and I'm sure they looked good, but he couldn't find them on his computer after he took the pics. Frustrated, I commandeered my son's CoolPix camera, got some black posterboard from the dollar store ($1 for 3) and did my own. After taking each photo on the seemless background, I pull them up in the download file, click on the "crop" option, crop it to my liking and hit the "Adjustments" key. "Clarity"- all the way up. "Vignette" - all the way up. VIOLA! right arrow next photo, repeat. Cheap and very nice for the price! It feels like I'm cheating!
